Senior Manager Project Finance Controller

Role:

- Manage and control finance for key programmes, provide analytics on the progress of the programs, providing and presenting relevant financial information and analytics to the project steering board.

- Enabling relevant controls along the spend lifecycle.

Managing finance of key programs

- Ensure project governance from financial standpoint

- Contribute towards preparing business case from the standpoint of financial viability

- Support development and analysis of financial plans for alternative scenarios

- Lead the coordination and preparation of annual, quarterly, monthly forecasts

- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and actively review same for continued compliance.

- Ability to influence others to ensure that budgets are adhered to and the Change Management process is followed for any variances to the Capex planned spend

- Effective reporting on program spend using Business Intelligence tool/Oracle ERP

- Ensure that transactions are backed by appropriate documents like PO, SOW, timesheets

- Review resource utilization and co-ordinate weekly timesheets

- Track actual expenditure against plan. Produce estimates to complete in close liaison with PMO

- Identification of risks and opportunities

- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to all stakeholders

- Identification of opportunities for streamlining of financial operations

- Deal with external and internal auditors as required ensuring compliance of audits and statutory requirements.

- Prepare detailed analytical reports Actual Vs. plan by spend category, time period etc

- Provide and present analysis and focused reporting to all levels of management

- Overall responsibility of controlling project spend and timely communication

Specifications:

- 8-10 years of total work experience in the fields of reporting, CAPEX control, analysis.

- Strong knowledge of systems, Processes and Reporting.

- 2 years hands on experience of Oracle Project Accounting and other relevant modules must.

- Knowledge of BI tool Business Objects reporting is desirable

Qualified: CA /ICWA
