Position – Sr. Manager – Business Development & Servicing (Licensing), Consumer Products

Location - Delhi

Reporting Manager – Director, Consumer Products

Candidate Profile

- Manage the licensing business of the kids portfolio across all product categories.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strategic Management

- Undertake market analysis to monitor industry trends, regulations, sub-categories performance and retail channels to ensure better understanding of consumer profiles and market needs.

- Identify priority categories for the Kids segment across sub-life stages and prioritise licensing targets in each category

- Determine category key drivers (product, price and retail channel) to expand presence consistent with local demographic and retailer needs.

2. Licensing – New Business Development + Client Servicing

- Identify & contract new licensees instrumental in the development of the category. Work with the creative Director to shape Business Development pitches for the target licensees.

- Identify product, property, and channel gaps, develop & implement plans to fill the gaps.

- Oversee & finalize contract renewals consistent with overall country business directions and category objectives.

- Ensure licensees’ thorough understanding and compliance of contract terms and conditions and full understanding of Viacom Brands’ standards, and compliance with such standards.

- Conduct “Top Team” licensees performance reviews (quarterly) to drive and maximize business opportunities.

- Liaison with the PR & Communications team to ensure maximum coverage and media exposure for key licensees.

3. Retail & Marketing

- Work with key retail account merchandisers and licensees to manage product range/presence, signage and visual merchandising programs at retail.

- Work with buyers from key retail accounts to develop business opportunities, managing product sourcing, mix/range, pricing and new programs specific to each retailer’s shopping profile.

- Plan sales promotions, cross licensee promotions, marketing initiatives, & events

4. Creative

- Author the creative and product development briefs on behalf of the licensee using in-depth insights into Kids segments.

- Work closely with the creative director to deliver designs, style guide and creative assets in time to the licensee

- To guide licensees in product development ensuring consistency with category plan or ongoing product quality improvement program as well as ensuring best products are delivered to retail on a timely basis.

- Ensure licensees adhere to the creative approval process & comply with brand assurance guidelines.

5. Finance

- Responsible for achieving the financial targets as set forth and developing and implementing strategies and plans towards increasing revenues and expanding business base.

- Oversee royalty reports and collection of accounts receivables.
