Job Description:
Position Title: Senior Manager
Job Purpose:
(Briefly describe the general purpose of the position or its significance from the organisation's point of view and how it contributes to the overall mission/objective of the organization).
Contribute to the team by:
- Providing detailed and well researched insights into identified non infra sectors, undertaking detailed industry analysis, developing sector expertise and parameters for financing.
- Sharing timely inputs with client relationship/Risk teams for appraisal / due diligence of the proposals
Market/ Development for Industrial Finance business
Principal Accountabilities:

Business Development / Deal Origination:
Business development in non infra sectors by:
- Active scanning of the business / sectoral environment from industry databases / research houses for identifying potential clients
- Preliminary analysis of the identified clients on basis of public information
- Active interaction with Syndicators/consultants
Credit Appraisal and Due diligence:
The role requires Senior Manager to play an active role in providing support to the concerned PFG team during the execution of a transaction by
- Providing sector and structuring knowledge for carrying out a detailed appraisal and due diligence of the project/proposal from Technical/Financial/Legal/Regulatory aspects
- The process involves Industry Research & Sector Analysis, Financial Modeling and Balance Sheet Analysis, Contract Evaluation, Development of Risk & Mitigation Matrix, SWOT analysis,
- Term sheet preparation /inputs
- Preparing customized Sector Presentation / Appraisal Note and the presentation, to be presented to the Investment committee
- Interacting with other internal departments like Risk (by identifying the Risk and the respective mitigations pertaining to the proposal), Legal, Regulatory and Compliance team for sanction / documentations
- Considering the medium term horizon of Non Infrastructure projects (5-7years) ,the Senior Manager is expected to
- Develop capability & aptitude to understand long term sectoral trends and structure the transactions accordingly (Track the various sectors on a continuous basis
Portfolio Management:
- Post signing of the Financing Document, active monitoring of the project on a continuous basis to ensure
- Keeping a track of the developments in the sector post approval in terms of regulatory, economic changes,
and assessing its impact on the account..
- Compliance of all Pre-Commitment conditions and Pre-disbursement Condition
- Complete the process of security creation and perfection, compliance, and disbursement
- Regular engagement/ interaction with his counterparts in external stakeholders viz. Client, Owners Engineer, Lenders Consultant, Financial Institutions and Internal stakeholders viz. Risk and Asset Management, Accounts, and Legal team.
Other Key responsibilities:
- Site Visits
- Regular review of periodic reports prepared by Lenders Engineer, Lenders Insurance Agent, submitted by the Developer
- Regular tap on financial health of the Borrower, Payment track record and rating maintained by other financial institution
Dimensions: Financial Dimensions
Portfolio Management, Revenue and Profit:- Help in Managing a portfolio of ~ 5 - 7 clients with total portfolio size of ~Rs 300 - 500 Crore. Disbursement:- Responsible for disbursement target of ~ Rs 250 Crore per annum based on regional business plan.
Sanction (Business Pipeline): Contribute towards sanctioning new loans of Rs 1,000 Crore Rs.1,500 Crore per annum with ticket.
Fee Based Income: Portfolio Quality : Ensure timely compliance of all outstading issues post disbursement, preparation of quarterly review reports, flagging any major variance in financials, project implementation aspects .

- Number of credit analysis per year
- Initial Screening (Go-No Go): 25 deals
Basic Analysis (Flash/Brief Note to Credit Committee): 10-12 deals
Detailed Appraisal: 5 8 deals
Skills & Knowledge:
(State the minimum acceptable proficiency for this job which best indicates the education and/or experience requirements of this job and not the incumbent).
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- MBA/CA with minimum 3-4 years post MBA/CA experience preferably in Banking Sector, especially in Corporate Banking
- Ability to prepare Financial Model / sound understanding of Balance Sheets
Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively/persuasively the within the Group and if required to the Sr. Management team
- Ability to gain in-depth understanding of identified sectors, major players in the sector and industries performance, trends
- Ability to interact with professionals in various fields (Legal Internal, Client side and external legal counsel for Documentations/Contracts/Litigations, Technical Experts in various sectors, Finance Consultants and Client side, Compliance & Regulatory Internal and Client side) and resolve differences/views with guidance from Senior Manager and above to achieve faster deal closure
Managerial Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple transactions across sectors and at various stages of appraisal and ensuring quality of Appraisal and knowledge transfer to peers
