Job description
Business Partnering Role :
Assist the business head for the Trade as a Business Partner providing :
(a) Updated business performance information on a monthly basis
(b) Share the same with his DRs to gain understanding on market feedback and build joint understanding/solutions to leverage the sales potential
(c) Assist in formulating schemes and review the A&P/scheme spends in terms of effectiveness and provide solutions for alternate use
(d) Assist business head in adhoc decision making w.r.t to the business
(e) Work with business in ensuring timely pricing corrections & validate requests for the business customers to ensure that they are in line with plan
(f) work with the planning team in finalizing the planning process thro' out the year
(g) Partner with business to design and implement strong policies, processes and internal controls for the commercial and financial activities of trade to promote strong business discipline and compliance
(h) Understanding business, its key drivers and the impact on the business of the company and drive company policies effectively
(i) Monitor business performance (revenue/profit/overhead/utilization/pipeline & other KPIs), investigate variances and provide analysis of differences with focus on improving performance
(J) Own the planning and budgeting process and provide accurate forecasts aligned to strategic plans
(k) Act as a commercial auditor, undertake regular audits and work on deep dive requests from business unit leaders and report findings
(L) Generate strong incisive management analysis reports which would provide insights to all stakeholders.
Commercial Role:
Develop a commercial system for the business through
(a) formulation of a robust credit policy wherein all the credit limits are periodically reviewed, credit holds are released to facilitate invoicing (b) credit notes are released after due approval and formulate a credit note processing policy
(b) Build in processes which facilitate smooth invoicing
(c) Take care of all the pricing issues in SAP by hiring a pricing resource
(d) Build and develop a robust secondary sales tracking mechanism thru expanding the distributor software to more distributors and link the same to the org incentive plans
(e) Build a regional structure across regions to support the growth and efficiency
(f) Build on Monthly reconciliation ledgers of distributors & key accounts and drive effectively closure on
outstanding if any (i) Develop Approval matrix for regional structure to facilitate expeditious settlement of claims.
Market & Field Interaction :
(a) Ensure 1 market visit per month including (HCPs) Retailers and stockists
(b) Ensure participation in all cycle meetings w.r.t. the Business finance agenda
(c) Ensure minimum 3 visits to depots per year.
(d) Ensure Distributors audits are done periodically and a report discussed with the BU head (Align any distributor audit to be done with the BU Head & define scope, discuss/report the findings to augment the process)
New business initiative for Ex Markets. Understanding business dynamics and assist in formulating a business plan for growth
Skill, Education, Experience required
CA/MBA from reputed institute with 7-10 years of experience.. Exposure to Business Finance, Business partnership, sales commercial or working in a commercial role is necessary
