Sr Manager Production - Mfg - Downstream

Position Reports to : VP - Manufacturing

Educational Qualification: B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical /Biochemical Engineering from reputed institutes

Total Work Experience : 15 yrs of experience in handling Manufacturing operations of Fermentation based products , particularly the downstream operations

Job Location : Bangalore

Job Description

1.Run fermentation based manufacturing plant(Downstream side) with maximum productivity and minimal breakdown.

2. Coordinate with Stores/Purchase for raw material planning and inventory control.

3. Prepare/approve production plan with inputs from marketing and internal customers

4. Coordinate with the process development team to develop cost effective processes for fermentation based products.

5. Guide the team and develop leaders in each production segment.

6. Coordinate with projects team to execute facility expansion projects for sterile as well as non-sterile APIs

7. Drive Operational Excellence activities

Brief Profile of Candidate

1. Hands on experience and in depth knowledge in Protein purification

2. High potential candidate capable of rising to the highest possible level in Manufacturing having excellent communication and presentation skills

3. Should have faced international regulatory audits

4. Knowledge of plant design and awareness of latest technological developments in Chromatography technics etc

5. Should have handled the senior positions in manufacturing with direct and indirect reporting of atleast 50 people

6. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing / Operational excellence
