Job Description :
The incumbent will report to the Head Merchandiser and be responsible for :
Vendor Management : Management of existing vendors and also developing new vendors
Planning & Co-ordination : Planning the product line up for the existing products also launch of new products. Co-coordinating promotional schemes by negotiating offers, pricing strategies and promotional assistance with suppliers.
Market research & analysis :
- Conduct market research to understand the current trends & customer requirement. Focusing on core customer preferences and planning the range, type, quality of both the product and the vendor
New product development : Develop new products as well as developing new sub categories
Stock Management : Managing the plan for stock levels and reacting to change in demand and logistics
Product life cycle : Manage product lifecycle and design pricing strategy to increase products life - Knowledge of Western, Indian, Night wear & lingerie experience
The Successful Candidate - A successful candidate will have:
- Qualified MBA with minimum 8-12 years of experience, minimum 8 years of relevant experience. Preference NIFT graduate
- Strong background of Retail (large format) or home Shopping Industry
- Analytical skills
- Excellent skills in MS office
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent written & Oral Communication Skills
- Maturity and ability to build a collaborative environment through cross functional team work
