An opportunity within "Internal Audit" with a Big 4 Consulting Firm in Mumbai.

Experience required: 7 to 8 yrs (from Big 4 or extensive consulting experience)

Qualification – CA, MBA(fin) , CWA, CISA, CFE, CIA

Details of the requirement:

1. Can actively manage multiple small and/ or medium-sized engagements simultaneously, or a large multi-location engagement, involving on an average 6 or more staff and 1 or more client staff. Adopts a holistic approach to the engagement by (a) understanding the rationale for the engagement; as well as (b) making a conscious effort to understand the client’s industry and business.

2. Design and deliver innovative as well as implementable risk & control solutions from concept through implementation.

3. Leverage knowledge and expertise in internal audit across and presents ideas, recommendations and innovations to clients that resulted in significant value-addition for their business.

4. Is a subject-matter expert and thought leader in Internal Audit, Development of Standard Operating Procedures/ Control Manuals, Sarbanes Oxley/ Clause 49 Compliance Assistance Services

5. Applies logic and critical thinking, finds creative solutions to issues.

6. Lead meetings with client’s process owners, functional heads, executive management, etc. and managed to obtain buy-in on issues as well as recommendations.

7. Prepare/ validate concise presentations for the Management Team, Audit Committee, etc. distilling and articulating significant issues as well as the root cause/ way forward.

8. Develop a strong relationship with client Process Owners and Executive Management.

9. Manage the engagement in respect of overall milestones and time budget. Involve client management at appropriate times during the engagement so as to resolve conflict and controversial issues and achieve appropriate outcomes.

10.Negotiate billing (Fees & Expenses) schedules and raising invoices accordingly;

11.Contribute to quality reviews for technical tasks on own projects.

12.Finalize proposals w.r.t. scope, approach & methodology and appropriate pricing after assessing the client’s needs as well as expectations.

13.Exhibits control of the engagement at all times through:

- Regular Discussions

- Regular Status Updates

- Periodic Review of Work of Field Staff

- Ably guided/ coached field staff on their work in terms of timing, coverage, quality and technical issues.

14.Demonstrate the ability to take a long-term view in matters relating to the IAS SBU and acted proactively and start a practice.

15.Leverage knowledge of emerging products/ technologies/ tools (e.g. RFID, Smart Cards, etc.) relevant to the client’s industry, across the globe, to provide valuable suggestions to client’s senior management.

Soft skills required:

- Communication & Interpersonal – good communication and presentation skills, ability to discuss and handle senior management of the clients, connecting well with the client and team members.

- Report writing – clarity of thought, articulation of observation/issues, good command over written language

- General – self starter, highly committed, self motivated, driven by objectives and high value system

- Can manage a practice independently
