The current requirement is for a Sr HR Manager role with a leading Investment Management MNC company.

About Human Resources

Human resources team support & partner with all business areas, by providing a robust HR framework and organisation - wide policies, thereby enabling further growth. The team is engaged in several activities such as Recruitment, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Employment Law Compliances and Compensation & Benefits to facilitate Company growth.

Purpose of your role

- The objective of this role is to be a key HR business partner and front end the range of Generalist HR activities for business functions in India.

- This would include focus on Employee Relations, Performance Management process, MIS and data analysis, Training needs identification/analysis, Induction & on-boarding, Competency Framework implementation, and Reward & recognition plans amongst other areas.

- The individual in this role will work closely with HR specialist teams such as Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, HR Services etc and ensure needs of the business get fed back into the overall HR planning and strategy.

- He/she should have the ability to understand change and complex business issues, and to translate customer needs into actionable recommendations. The individual would be involved in the business planning process from the outset as a result of being viewed as a valued contributor in the management team. This requires spending time understanding investment, the business and the products, also reading up on broader economic, market, social and political trends to understand how they impact the business

- The incumbent needs to be a true HR business partner enabling/ supporting growth, talent development, stability and engagement in a proactive manner.

Your key accountabilities

- Consult, coach and advise senior managers and staff on a range of HR issues. Build effective relationships as a basis to challenge and influence their business partners and make valued contribution

- Ensure HR is approachable, and knows the “pulse of the people”, and is able to feed this information back to the business for any initiatives that may need to be carried out

- Partner with managers on organizational planning, restructuring

- Ensure quality induction and on boarding plans in place for all new joiners across business groups, in line with business requirements

- Acting as change agent would need to work towards structured R&R for business groups, regularly review effectiveness of the programs and suggest improvements when and where required

- Work closely towards key metrics and SLAs with specialist HR teams on key HR goals like compensation budgets, hiring plans etc.

- Work with business leaders towards strong succession planning for key/ critical roles

- Identify issues that are preventing the achievement of the business goals, the root cause is diagnosed when it relates to people and an effective response designed and the intervention to be delivered, in partnership with managers.

- Lead implementation of Career Path Framework and Competency Framework goal for business groups in terms of implementation and gradual modification in the model where required along with business leaders

- Work closely with the line managers/ function leaders for qualitative performance management all thru the year culminating into meaningful people discussions; provide advise and support to the business for extreme cases wherever applicable

- Work closely with the business to attain desirable retention and minimize regrettable loss of talent.

- Be the ‘organisation sensor’ especially with the people provide information/ early warning of issues to aid them in their management and leadership role.

Your skills and experience

- Demonstrated track record of leading change and partnering growth

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with high energy levels

- Pro-active with good problem solving skills

- Hands-on with a can-do approach and ability to get things done

- Excellent at collaboration and the ability to function in a matrix environment

- Strong prioritization and time management skills

- At least 6-7 years of relevant experience

- Preferably a Post Graduate degree in Human Resources (XLRI/TISS preferred)
