Job Purpose:

The candidate requires management capabilities to:

- mobilize large teams covering multiple business areas, business lines

- drive projects and programs that have significant impact on the entity's strategy

- develop synergies and improve efficiency and competitiveness.

FAS (Fund Accounting Services), a division of Banking, Securities & Financial Services at SGGSC is involved in NAV Calculation of mutual funds, Hedge Funds & index funds for European region. All funds are on daily valuation & deal with a wide range of investment products which include Equities, Fixed income instruments, Money Market instruments, Futures, Options, CDS, IRS, OTC Fx Options & other Derivative products. The team works in multiple shifts.

Main Responsibilities And Other Attributes:

Main Responsibilities: Support and monitor day-to-day work processes and meet production and Service Level Agreement

- Analysis of daily KPIs and performance/productivity metrics

- Monitors team performance and risk coverage

- Identify and anticipates customer requirements, expectations and needs

- Track efficiency and performance against customer requirements

- Provide management reporting on operations, including statistics on volume, productivity, new development and service impact to clients.

- Develop & Maintain an efficient governance structure

- Maintains long-term, collaborative relationship with key stakeholders

- Promotes cooperation and commitment with the team towards the attainment of common goals.

- Lead managers to evaluate and take actions that are consistent with the company's overall strategy

- Develop operational goals for each division in line with long-term goals of the company

- progress is being made and corrective action, if necessary, is taken.

- Coordinate & collaborate with other teams in the organization

- Conduct performance appraisals and approve performance appraisals completed by direct reports.

- Monitors and ensures development of accurate budget and forecasts for the division

Other Attributes:

- Needs to be a self-starter with significant ability to undertake initiatives.

- Strong interpersonal / good negotiations skills, leadership skills will be essential for this role. Follow through skills, Effective communication skills, fluency in Microsoft Office skills, ability to confidently handle internal clients.

- Excellent knowledge on capital markets & accounting of financial products/instruments

- Good knowledge on quality measurement & performance measurement techniques.

- Excellent judgment and creative problem solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Skills & Knowledge:

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master degree with specialization in finance with good academic records

- Preferably CA (Inter or Final), ICWA or CFA with relevant experience

Relevant and total years of Experience

- More than 8 years of overall experience with minimum 5 years of relevant fund accounting experience

- Minimum 3-4 years of operations management experience & people management experience with team size of minimum 15-20 members

Functional Skills:

- Knowledge on Asset management (Mutual fund & Hedge funds) and supporting functions

- End to end NAV calculation and Capital Market product knowledge (e.g. derivatives, OTC, Fixed income, Money market instruments, etc.)

- Strong conceptual knowledge on accounting of capital market products

- Strong Knowledge on Corporate action and pricing policies

- Bloomberg and Reuters functional knowledge
