Key Skills/experience
- Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative
- Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
- Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix stakeholders to oversee all SDLC phases of a project
- Rigorously manages scope (work with the business to prioritise functionality to deliver business benefit) to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
- Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
- Develops communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities. Status reporting to senior management and other stakeholders, publishes periodic project status reports
- Promote agile best practice in the team (Daily Stand-Ups, Timebox Planning, Execution and Retrospectives)
- Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives
- Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
- Develops the integrated project plan, resource plan, Risk and Issue log (with contingency plan), performing Project Process Checklist (Quality Gates) and related project management artefacts
- Proposes recommendations and adjustments
Necessary Skills are:
13+ years of industry experience (preferably in Web related project management and execution) across the complete life cycle of systems projects with a minimum of 6 years in active project management.
- Need someone from Digital and Mobility space.
- Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects
- Experience of managing multi team complex projects with full budgetary and delivery responsibilities
- Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally. Strong presentation skills
- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively

- Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives

- Ability to pick up business knowledge, new technology areas, new processes/methodologies and apply these changes in the day-to-day working of the systems organisation.
- Knowledge of the Mutual Fund industry would be desirable
Background in analysis and / or, preferably, hands-on technical development
- Excellent skills especially Microsoft Word (status reports), Excel (for planning and tracking, pivot tables, macros), Powerpoint (clear/concise presentation of information), MS Project (for planning/tracking) and sound systems knowledge
Attention to detail
Preferable Skills are:
- Awareness of formal project management methodology e.g PRINCE2, PMBoK
- Knowledge of JIRA
- Experience/knowledge of agile development methods e.g. SCRUM, XP
- Exposure to or understanding of technologies like JSP, Servlets, SOA, Struts, Websphere, Configuration
Management tools.
