Location: Mumbai

Job Description -

- Responsible for researching and developing ideas and processes for new products. Improves upon the performance and design of existing products and oversee production and packaging of final product.

- Design, model, and test prototypes for products.

- Establish design briefs.

- Create concepts, performance, and production criteria.

- Identify and select materials needed for production.

- Produce final hand drawings and specifications

- Make samples of working models for demonstration.

- Travel to production facilities to evaluate process

- Use computer-aided design (CAD) to design concepts

- Carry out the process scale up and process feasibility studies for new technologies with focus on product quality, processing time, hardware requirement and product safety.

- Carry out the main plant trials with factory and validate the production technique for commercialization.

Job Specification

- Should be familiar with, and adhere to, their company's product standards and specifications, so that they may design quality products that represent the company brand.

- Keep trends and the needs of consumers in mind when designing products.

- Responsible for making improvements or updates to existing design and development standards. Professionals may also need to understand how their decisions affect product cost, performance, and quality.
