Sr Manager - Datawarehouse - BFSI

Candidates - Please don't apply if you don't have hands on exp (Design and Development in the past) along with Project Management exp on any one of the Datawarehouse technologies and great communication Skills

Key Skills/experience

- Single accountable party for defining, planning, orchestrating, and delivering a given strategic initiative

- Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners

- Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix stakeholders to oversee all SDLC phases of a project

- Rigorously manages scope (work with the business to prioritise functionality to deliver business benefit) to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters

- Validates financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures

- Develops communication plans and interfaces to execute on responsibilities. Status reporting to senior management and other stakeholders, publishes periodic project status reports

- Promote agile best practice in the team (Daily Stand-Ups, Timebox Planning, Execution and Retrospectives

- Serves as a subject matter expert in routinely briefing key stakeholders on different aspects of assigned initiatives

- Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan

- Develops the integrated project plan, resource plan, Risk and Issue log (with contingency plan), performing Project Process Checklist (Quality Gates) and related project management artefacts

- Proposes recommendations and adjustments

Necessary Skills are:

13+ years of industry experience (preferably in Web related project management and execution) across the complete life cycle of systems projects with a minimum of 6 years in active project management.

- Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects

- Experience of managing multi team complex projects with full budgetary and delivery responsibilities

- Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity

- Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally. Strong presentation skills

- Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively

- Solid influencing skills

- Sound business and technical acumen

- Focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure

- Ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives

- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

- Extensive work experience in process based project management, and implementing project / program level matrices to manage the projects quantitatively

- Understanding of emerging technologies

- Ability to pick up business knowledge, new technology areas, new processes/methodologies and apply these changes in the day-to-day working of the systems organisation.

Knowledge of the Mutual Fund industry would be desirable

Background in analysis and / or, preferably, hands-on technical development

Excellent skills especially Microsoft Word (status reports), Excel (for planning and tracking, pivot tables, macros), Powerpoint (clear/concise presentation of information), MS Project (for planning/tracking) and sound systems knowledge
