Context

To be a part of the contract management team, and function within the statutory laws, policies and procedures of the organization. The objective is to enter into the agreements with business partners with minimum exposure to risk and with least liability.

Team Size: 3

Education & Experience: Preferably M.A.LLB/B.A.LLB with 5-6 years of experience in contract management preferably in a pharmaceutical company.

1. International Law Education / NLS Bangalore

2. 5-6 experience in Contract Management

3. Pharmaceutical Industry background.

Business Understanding:In-depth understanding of all aspects of the Pharmaceutical value chain

Key Responsibilities

1. Drafting and Review of Agreements: Understand the requirements of the contract, receive the term sheet from business or draft the term sheet when required, finalize and sign the term sheet, create the first draft of the agreements based on the signed term sheet and share with the business for their comments/inputs, once finalized internally share with the business partner/contractor for their review; set up the meeting with the business partners in case there are open points to be negotiated on; prepare the final draft post negotiation and inputs from both parties in order to mitigate risk associated with liability under the agreement

2. Retrieval of Agreements from Repository: Retrieve the business agreement from the repository based on business (Global Generics) request and requirement and share with the related business in order to meet the business requirements like amendment, termination of an agreement and keep track of annual business commitment (Obligations) & Liabilities

3. Legal Research: Conduct research for supporting due-diligence, policy drafting, litigation; consolidate and compile the research material, submit the research data to the team leader in order to support the legal processes with accurate and on-time research data

Internal: Legal & Finance teams and other business and functional leaders

External: Business stakeholders.

Technical Requirements: Current developments in Laws (Specifically Indian Laws), Research sites, MS Office

- In-depth analytical and problem solving skills

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Good at networking - able to influence peers and senior stakeholders
