Senior Manager, Business Process Excellence

This is a senior management role reporting directly to the Managing Director to help build and monitor processes of Desta’s vast rural marketing and distribution channel in villages.

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement efficient policies for logistics, cash collection, marketing and inventory management in agriculture inputs and other category of products

- Manage ERP software

- Ensure regular reports are sent to management

- Monitor processes according to laid out specifications

- Build an effective and healthy working environment

- Define and carry out a sales incentive plan for sales staff and village managers

- Establish and maintain a high level of service for Desta’s village managers

Preferred Qualifications:

- Need to have at least three years hands on experience in designing and implementing cash collection and logistics policies for an agriculture inputs company or microfinance company

- Knowledge of statistics and love for numbers is a must

- At least two years’ experience in consulting in logistics/sales team management is preferred

- First hand sales experience in rural areas of agriculture produce is preferred

- (Very) Strong analytical and problem solving skills required

- Need to have an obsession for efficient and effective operations

- Should have exceptional communication skills

- Need strong family support to excel in such a fast paced startup

- Unquestionable integrity and dedication to the cause of Desta to increase income of customers on a large scale

- Willingness and commitment to put in necessary hours and years to build a successful organization

Location: Mumbai

Travel: 25%

Compensation: Competitive. Compensation would be in cash and stock. Compensation cannot be the primary driver. We are looking for leaders who can grow with the organization for many years to come.
