Designation:Senior Manager-Business Development

Reports to:Head of Education-Business Development

Location:Bangalore & Delhi

Exp:8-15 years

Position Purpose:

Responsible for the development of new and potential accounts within the assigned geographic area. Develops and implements short- and long-range sales strategies. Develops, implements and achieves targeted new sales goals by orchestration of the sales process including prospect identification, prospect qualification, organization survey and execution, proposal development, proposal delivery and contract negotiation.

Key Result Areas:

Establish new and potential accounts within the assigned geographic area.

- Develop and implement short- and long-range sales strategies.

- Develop, implement and achieve targeted new sales goals by orchestration of the sales process including prospect identification, prospect qualification, organization survey and execution, proposal development, proposal delivery and contract negotiation.

- Develop recommendations that help build customers’ businesses and solve problems.

- Create proposals with pricing, timelines, forecasts, resource allocation plans, and financial impact.

- Develop sales presentations, proposals, and other sales documents.

- Identify, develop and qualify prospects through research of prospects, identifying the customer’s objectives, and determining how Sodexo can meet those objectives.

- Obtain sales commitment(s).

- Follow up with customer in order to identify customer’s concerns and requests, needs and requirements, resolve customer problems and to identify and suggest additional products or services that may complement other purchases.

- Build and maintain relationships with Senior Customer Management (e.g., CEO, COO, CFO) to develop horizontal sales opportunities.

- Develop prospect lists and identify potential customers using a variety of formal and informal sources.

- Obtain leads through personal phone calls, meetings with clients, telemarketing efforts, clients and Company employees, newspaper articles, supplier information, new hire interviews, business journals, etc. - Learn and use competitor information on service offerings, organizational strategy, pricing, strengths and weaknesses.

- Seek ideas and feedback from customers and take steps to understand customers’ needs.

- Survey prospective client’s organization to help develop proposal.

- Negotiate and close contracts with clients.

- Coordinate, produce, and execute contract documents.
