Sr Manager/AVP - IFRS/GAAP - CA

Role

1. Core member of the IFRS advisory, revenue assurance & consolidation team.

2. Provide accounting guidance on complex accounting matters relating to Financial Instruments, Revenue, Business Combinations, Share-based Payments, Income Taxes etc.

3. Drive revenue assurance by evaluating customer contracts and providing guidance on revenue recognition.

4. Keep updated with latest developments in IFRS standard setting and make accounting impact evaluation and requisite disclosure for the Company.

Key Accountabilities

1. IFRS advisory & revenue assurance proficiency:

a) Presentation of Financial Statement including notes to financial statements and other disclosure requirements (Quarterly / Annual basis).

b) Preparing accounting memos for complex and non-routine transactions.

c) Preparing revenue recognition checklists for contract above $100,000/-.

d) Impairment testing – Goodwill / Intangible / Fixed assets.

e) Evaluation of Operating Segments.

f) Preparation of EPS & Share-based Payment schedule

g) Knowledge of XBRL [Block and Detailed Footnote tagging]

2. Compliance:

a) SEC laws and regulations

b) SOX compliance & internal audits

Work Experience

- 8 to 10 years in NYSE/ NASDAQ listed Company or with Big 4 audit firm handling such listed Companies.

- In depth knowledge of IFRS and expertise in Financial Instruments

Exposure to US GAAP / I GAAP standards

Knowledge/Qualifications - Chartered Accountant / CPA / ACCA

Capabilities

- Possess good interpretation skill on accounting standards.

- Ability to guide problem solving and provide adequate assurance

- Good oral / written communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior management

- Experience of working in multinational company (MNC)

Special Role Requirements

- Ideally worked in a IFRS / US GAAP advisory role with an MNC.

- Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint skills highly desirable

Sound knowledge of

- Valuation methodology – DCF / Deposit fair valuations
