Senior Legal Counsel - Global Telecom Leader

We are seeking to identify a senior Legal professional for our client , a global telecommunications leader with a presence in 150 countries. This is a $ 20 billion dollar company which has succeeded in its dynamic industry space through astute strategy creation and execution. They have a footprint of USD 1 billion in India.

THE ROLE

- You will be the point of contact for allocated compliance-related matters - regulatory, statutory, anti-corruption and trade compliance and will advise on changes, opportunities and trends in law and policy relevant to the business of the company in the region.

- You will manage legal relationships with the company's external advisors (e.g. auditors, law firms etc.) for compliance and regulatory topics and will report to the regional legal head. You will also be required to support customer contract-related activities and negotiations in cooperation with Contract Management.

- You must be a LLB or LLM graduate from a good institution with approximately 10 to 12 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a top notch multinational. Key areas of exposure must include compliance, regulatory and contracts.

- In addition to influencing regulatory enactments in new areas, you should have managed compliance and been involved in setting up large scale contracts preferably in a global environment. Telecom or Information Technology domain experience will be an advantage.
