Marketing Mix Modeling – Senior Consultant

Job Description:

The Marketing Mix Modeling profile requires the person to design and manage the Marketing Mix Models for various brands across Time Inc. The person will be required to develop Marketing Mix Models and transform the results to insights to help Brand Managers understand historical brand performance and recommendations for future media planning/buying. The individual must be highly motivated, dynamic and creative. An understanding of the US market forces will be an added advantage.

Job Requirements:

- Educational Qualification: Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics, Masters/PhD strongly preferred

- Experience: 4 – 10 years Experience in the field of MMM

- Strong analytic and quantitative skills, with a good sense of problem solving

- Ability to produce actionable quantitative models and analyses addressing the challenges of marketing effectiveness, ROI, brand equity impact, channel effectiveness, and pricing

- Experience working with Big Data, Social Media, and predictive analytics and ability to identify current issues and emerging trends

- Will need to serve as thought leader to institutionalize the process/methodologies to ensure quality of sophisticated statistical and mathematical solutions

- Must have statistical prowess that enables you to identify creative solutions when necessary, such as methods to incorporate qualitative aspects into the model

- Ability to troubleshoot when necessary

- Advanced proficiency with analytic software tools such as R, SAS, SPLUS, etc and a good understanding of the statistical algorithms typically used in Marketing Analytics

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power point

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

Technical Skills:

- Modeling - Marketing Mix experience required

- Experience in Data mining, writing programs, and evangelizing automated analytical tools

- Understanding of multivariate statistics, including regression based modeling (both Linear and Logistic), ANCOVA, and descriptive statistical techniques

- Experience running data simulations such as Markov Chain Monte Carlo

- Deep understanding of statistical diagnostics (significance test, model fit, etc)

- Advanced proficiency with analytic software tools such as R, SAS, SPLUS, Eviews and a good understanding of the statistical algorithms
