Senior Buyer/Vendor Management position for fast growing Startup
A fast growing startup based out of Bangalore is looking for exceptional candidates with minimum 2 years of buyer/vendor management experience, ideally in lifestyle products like apparel, stationery, accessories, gifts etc. The person coming will be expected to take on the supplier/vendor discovery and management as a primary responsibility, but also strategic and general contribution as a secondary contribution.
The startup is an eCommerce company serving consumers across India, middle east and the US. It has a proven business model and funding to support its next level of growth.
- This is a great opportunity for those who want to take on significant managerial responsibility right-away, and grow rapidly with a high growth and exciting startup. We are open to people from a variety of backgrounds, but hands-on experience in direct buyer or vendor management positions is strongly desired (though we're willing to consider other exceptional candidates).
- Person must have exceptional communication skills, and an ability to manage execution tasks independently. This is a full-time, Bangalore based position.
Note that this is a challenging position in a fast-growing startup- those looking for a regular "big brand" corporate job may not be the right fit. We are looking for someone keen on solving real world management challenges.
Key responsibilities include:
- Aggressive supplier/vendor discovery and management
- Ability to sign on relevant vendors after due diligence/sampling etc.
- Evaluate the design and manufacturing quality of vendor products
- Packaging related innovation
- Partnering with other organizations for BD collaboration
- Strategy setting
- Presentations/Pitching
