This advertisement comes to you on behalf of our MNC Client, Global Leader in the Semiconductor Chip and Microprocessor industry.

Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of microprocessors, chips, and other subsets for the computer. The Company holds dominant position in the Semiconductor, Computer Hardware and Software space, with Fabs, R&D Centres, Design Centres, Software Development Centres, and Marketing offices worldwide.

Now we have the following Senior Attorney Opening with the above mentioned client in Bangalore.

Senior Attorney - Sales And Marketing South Asia, Bangalore, 10+ Years Exp

- The client and its subsidiaries have an immediate opening for an experienced attorney to provide legal support for its Sales and Marketing Group (SMG) in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh). In this position, the successful candidate will team with SMG as well as other members of Legal team to develop and deliver legal solutions in furtherance of their business in South Asia.

- In supporting these clients, you will be expected to analyze sales and marketing proposals in light of applicable laws and company's policies and work creatively, to both facilitate business growth and ensure compliance with applicable laws. This is an excellent opportunity to work on developing solutions for a company engaged in the cutting edge of technology development.

Responsibilities:

In this position, your primary responsibility will be to support SMG in South Asia. You will advise on sales, competition, commercial, and marketing / advertising law matters. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Supporting, developing, and implementing sales and marketing strategies (including reviewing public tenders);

- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of partner and end user license agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work, tender responses and other agreements;

- Assisting in the formulation and dissemination of policies and procedures involving sales and antitrust best practices;

- Acting as an advisor on legal issues involving the organization's government and regulatory compliance, including delivering training and supporting compliance efforts.

- Performs consultation and advisory work and carries out the legal processes necessary to effect the rights, privileges, and obligations of the corporation. Responsibilities or functions include, but are not limited to, the following: prepares and reviews various legal instruments and documents, such as contracts, leases, licenses, purchases, sales, real estate, etc., acts as agent of the organization in its transactions, examines materials for legal implications, advises officials of proposed legislation which might affect the organization, applies for patents, copyrights, or registration of the organization's products, processes, devices, and trademarks, advises whether to initiate or defend law suits, conducts pre-trial preparations, defends the organization in lawsuits, advises officials on tax matters, government regulations, contract negotiation, arbitration, federal and state labor legislation and/or legal rights. Requires extensive theoretical, practical, and industry knowledge. Applies and/or develops highly advanced technologies, principles, and concepts.

Qualifications:

- Candidates must possess a law degree and Bar / Law Society membership in good standing, with a minimum of ten years' legal experience in a law firm or a multinational corporation. Candidates must have strong English (written and spoken) language skills.

- In addition, the ability to read, write, and speak a South Asian language will be favorably considered. There is a strong preference for the candidate to live and work, at least initially, in Bangalore. The successful candidate must possess a high degree of professionalism, initiative and integrity.

Additional qualifications:

- Familiarity and experience with local laws in South Asia;

- Demonstrated ability to successfully work on and lead teams including both attorneys and business clients across different geographies;

- Ability to operate independently for most issues, with some guidance from outside counsel and more experienced LCA attorneys on complex issues;

- Experience in the IT industry and knowledge of the principals of US GAAP and revenue recognition rules is preferred but not mandatory;

- Experience with handling litigation and alternative dispute resolution;

- Ability to handle and prioritize a variety of projects simultaneously with minimal supervision;

- Commercial acumen.
