JOB PROFILE:

The job involves conducting business research to support clients and contributing to internal knowledge building efforts. Typical projects will involve gathering, analyzing, synthesizing and presenting data using structured methodologies and frameworks. Projects may take couple of days to several weeks for completion.

Key responsibilities involve;

- Assist clients and/or other research delivery team members in articulating and refining research requests and projects, while working on multiple projects.

- Manage and/ or work with an expanded team of analysts while working on multiple projects

- Craft effective search strategies and gather relevant information leveraging a broad set of resources (e.g. on-line databases, internet, external researchers etc.). Utilize both secondary and primary research sources and techniques

- Organize, analyze, synthesize and summarize data and information using appropriate analytical methodologies and frameworks. Conduct quantitative analysis (statistical analysis, financial data analysis etc.) as necessary

- Communicate research results through the creation of structured end-products (spreadsheets, reports, presentations etc.)

- Coach and develop research analysts

- Complete ad hoc research requests, knowledge building and business development projects as necessary

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes likely to have been gained over two to five years relevant experience:

- Excellent academic background. CFA-2 cleared from U.S preferred.

- Work experience – 5-7 years’ experience of working with investment banks with hands on knowledge of FICC, bonds, risk control, etc.

- If they are currently employed with Investment Banks, then it would serve as an added advantage

- Additional qualifications –FRM I would be an advantage

- Prior experience in business research / analytics

- Sound knowledge of global capital markets products preferred

- A strong degree of independence and self-motivation

- Fluency in spoken English is essential

- Excellent working skills with MS office tools, especially good at advanced Excel and PowerPoint

- Working knowledge of professional information services like Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc preferred
