Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a junior professional with business-based academic backgrounds to join the global COO function. The Client & Operational Risk (COR) team is responsible for supporting Transaction Banking business by developing, implementing and maintaining a risk culture to maximize stakeholder value whilst minimizing institutional risk arising from client / operational risk factors. The COR strategy includes improving the reporting and MI processes.

We are looking to recruit a person to play an important role in the enhancement of the reporting process.

The successful candidate will receive training followed by a structured development program under the supervision of experienced front office staff in Frankfurt, London, Singapore and New York.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Produce regular reports (OR profiles) in line with requirements by Group Operational Risk Management.

- Develop and produce reports for various Risk Councils / Committees and ad hoc reports / presentations.

- Enhance risk reporting process front to back from data collection / maintenance to production of tables, graphs, dashboards, heatmaps and eventually, analysis of findings / trends / risks / mitigating actions.

- Coordinate the scheduling of Risk Councils and Committees, preparation and distribution of materials.

- Maintain documentation incl. Master Risk Log, KOPs, Terms of Reference,

- Optimize cooperation between onshore staff and offshore staff (in CIBC and BMSC).

- Support the automation of reports.

Technical Skills:

- Experience with MIS, data management

- Expert level of skill in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, Visio)

- Understanding of risk management / Transaction Banking products

- Strong analytical skills and ability to transform complex issues into efficient solutions

- General Project Management skills

Soft Skills:

- Desire to work in a fast paced, challenging environment

- Self-motivated, independently, fast thinking, dynamic with exposure to finance

- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task

- Excellent communication skills with ability to converse clearly with Product/Regional COOs and other stakeholders

- Ability to work well in a global team
