We are looking Senior Advisor – Reporting and Analysis for world's leading Mining company based Gurgaon.

This is a Reporting and Analytic Profile - With exp in SAS. If from HR/ HRSS/ HRO then great.

Our Client

Our client is a world leader in finding, mining and processing the Earth's mineral resources. We operate, and eventually close, our operations safely, responsibly and sustainable. Our client comprises five principal product groups - Aluminium, Copper, Diamonds & Minerals, Energy and Iron Ore - plus two support groups: Technology & Innovation and Exploration.

Location : Gurgaon

CTC : 18 L – 20 L

Reports to : Lead Service Improvement & Transition

Division : Global Operations Team

No. of Direct Reports : 3 – 4

No. of Indirect Reports : 8 to 10

Experience : 7-10 years in senior support and co-ordination roles

Context

We concentrate on the development of first class ore bodies into large, long life and efficient operations, capable of sustaining competitive advantage through business cycles.

This role is responsible for leading delivery of insightful reporting, analytics and metrics to the senior leadership, organizational resources and executive committee members.

Primary Purpose

- Analysis and modelling of organizational and workforce data, including identifying trends and correlations between data sets.

- Understand, interpret and communicate global HR functional performance through financial analysis.

- Contributes to business outcomes by understanding the key business drivers, designing appropriate management information tools and reports to support HR.

- Manage the regular (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual) reporting cycles to ensure timely delivery of reporting to stakeholders

College/University Education:

Management degree in business administration from a reputed institute/university, specialization/ experience in HR, finance, statistics preferable.

Other Qualifications:

- Knowledge of best practices in HR reporting & analysis at organizational level.

- Thorough knowledge and appropriate use of analytical techniques (including applied statistics), excellent knowledge of data management and data integrity.

- Experience in working with financial and HR / workforce data set (derived from ERP solutions) is preferred.

- Experience in multiple software platforms associated with data management and interrogation.

- A background in business, mathematics, statistics, economics would be beneficial and experience working in the role.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Customer service focus, ability to work virtually

Licenses/Certifications: Desirable Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

Role Accountabilities

Operational Delivery (50%) (the core accountabilities that the role delivers on a daily basis directly or via the team) including:

1. Produce intelligent monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc management reports & information packs and reports for high-level discussions and meetings.

2. Assisting with the identification and production of reports to improve business processes

3. Collaborate with and support sites to drive business improvement so as to better utilise existing systems and increase the effectiveness of the reporting process

4. Produce as requested by functions/ business units

5. Monthly performance statistics reporting to the client executive and annual performance reporting to client executive, stakeholders

6. Compilation of performance statistics charts & tables for Subject Matter Experts

7. Maintain alignment of client reporting methodologies with industry practices and

8. regulated regional requirements

9. Assist in regional regulatory reporting.

10. Ensure method and procedure documentation is kept current and is rigorously followed across the group.

11. Identification, analysis and modeling of organizational and workforce data, including identifying trends and correlations between data sets.

12. Continue to evolve the analysis of performance data in a way that adds insights to client ’s performance improvement goals

13. Undertake periodic health checks of Rio Tinto’s reporting activities and opportunities for rationalization or improvement

14. Carry out advanced data and statistical analytics to help explain underlying causes for actual performance and insights as to how to achieve improvements.

15. Monitoring Business Solution (SAP) usage through producing and analyzing reports

16. Assist in the running of the reporting/analytics India office that captures the full benefits of operating in India Technical Competencies & Skills

Team Collaboration (10%) (the collaboration that the role is required to undertake with individuals and teams within the region in order to deliver work)

Providing guidance and support for process improvement in the reporting structure.

Interregional/Business Unit (BU) /External Engagement (10%) (the collaboration hat the role is required to undertake with between regions and/or other BU’s in order to deliver work)

1. Collaborating with Data managers representing the Business Units and Product groups to validate data and work on continuous improvement of the reporting and analytics process

2. Collaborating with equivalents in other regions, BU’s for knowledge and information sharing and to build a good understanding of regional and global requirements

3. Communicating with equivalents in other Business Units to share information and business processes.

4. Developing relationships with stakeholders to maintain a strong support network.

1. Provide overall leadership and direction to the team to ensure team members understand how they contribute to the organisation’s strategy and enable them to be fully engaged and empowered people.

2. Create an environment that supports and promotes a culture of exceptional service delivery.

4. constructive performance feedback for all direct reports to ensure targets are consistently met.

- The role requires the ability to identify, analyse and lead improvements to reporting.

- It requires sound analytical, judgement and interpretative thinking in developing insightful reporting.

- Requires the ability to work with detailed data interpreting and translating it into management information. The ability to learn, find and propose solutions for new requirements is essential.

- Reviewing and challenging information for the function, referring to knowledge of the business and a thorough understanding of the group’s reporting methodologies to ensure that organizational performance is fully understood and correctly presented.

- Responding to ad-hoc requests for information and analysis, often at short notice, using a range of sources to provide high quality responses.

- Understanding and managing conflicting priorities between stakeholders

- Managing and reconciling large volumes of information from multiple sources to ensure consistent and accurate outputs.

Key relationships

- Senior Executives, HR Leaders, Data managers from Business units & Product Groups, Information service and technology representatives

- Maintain close working relationships with stakeholders to share knowledge and best practice on an ongoing basis.

- Act as the key point of contact for functional heads of the business group.

- Develop informal networks with individuals in other corporate functions to share knowledge and information as appropriate.

- Liaise with teams within HR and other key stakeholders to develop employee-related planning assumptions.

Relevant Experience

Total work experience of 10+ years - 5-7 years reporting and analysis experience

A track record of:

- HR information

- Statistical tools usage

- Communication and change management

- Excellent attention to detail

- Proven ability to develop & document system and reporting specifications

- Ability to develop system reports

- Building relationships and working constructively with internal and external stakeholders

- Influencing and gaining confidence with colleagues and team members
