Actuarial Placement is looking for a Senior Actuary for its client. The client is a global Insurance company and the position will be based in Pune. We are looking for someone who can lead and strengthen client's Life Insurance Practice in India.

Key Accountabilities

- The resource would be a key member of the client’s Actuarial Services team and would work in close collaboration with the life actuarial teams across the company

- This particular role has been created in view of growing demand of actuarial services in life insurance practice area from various Entities

- Mentor and coach a team of life actuarial resources

- Provide analytical and technical support to team

Position Related Experience

- Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary with Life Insurance specialization

- 7 +years of technical work experience spanning valuations, modeling, product development.

Specific Knowledge required

- strengthen client’s existing Actuarial practice supporting US, Continental Europe, Gulf and Emerging Markets where the client has a presence across Life domains

- Play a critical role in setting up an Actuarial support platform (Moses, Prophet for Life) servicing various entities

- Seed new engagements – independently analyze project requirements to own and deliver pilot projects / initiatives with very high quality to establish support credibility with client’s entities

- Become a trusted partner for client’s entities - engage for capability showcase including visiting entities for opportunity assessment, discussions and piloting solutions

- Strategic mindset - undertakes developmental research and proposes new support offerings linked to market developments (e.g. Solvency II related support)

- Conceptualize, plan and setup an optimum team structure - hire, train, mentor, and coach team members to establish a high performance
