Square Panda - Senior Product Manager

Square Panda is an educational technology startup dedicated to helping kids acquire the skills they need to be a fluent reader. The ideal Product Manager candidate is a fast-moving individual who is excited about wearing many hats. This person is a creative thinker, resourceful problem solver, and thrives while working with a cross-functional team. This person will bridge our functional teams (curriculum, data science, engineering, sales, marketing, etc) and transform feedback and market needs into products, features, and experiences. This person is able to think in terms of the big picture, and also able to deliver on the details.

Experience - 7-8 years of experience and 2-3 years of experience into EdTech industry

Location - Mumbai

Responsibilities:

- Defining product roadmap and priorities

- Collaborating closely with product marketers to translate market requirements into tangible product specifications.

- Scoping, spec writing, and phasing product requirements

- Defining Product Requirements and Processes around it

- Maintain a global team mindset, communicate regularly with our colleagues in USA & China to ensure designs have global appeal

- Translate stakeholder feedback into tangible product specifications and wireframes

- Work closely with designers to generate attractive, intuitive, and well-documented designs for the engineering teams to implement

- Ensure smooth implementation through solid communication with globally located engineering teams

- Prioritizes features by ranking them against the strategic goals and initiatives.

- Communicate and collaborate directly and with internal stakeholders (curriculum, sales, engineering, data etc)

- Prioritizing, clarifying, and triaging bugs

- Advising product design and technical architecture

- Staying up to date on product development, sales, and marketing initiatives across all markets

- Fostering an open and inclusive product development culture

Required Qualifications:

- 10+ years experience in product management

- Adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously

- Have a strong technology skills and formidable business intellect

- Superb listening/speaking/written communication skills

- Fast processing - able to digest information quickly and make speedy decisions

- Nimble - adapt quickly to changing business priorities

- Highly analytical - comfortable with data and data visualizations

- Dynamic individual with great teamwork and interpersonal skills

- Technical background or related experience, and ability to weigh in on engineering discussions

- Have an eye for UI/UX and able to collaborate closely with designers

- Excellent judgement-- know which details matter, and which do not

- Excitement about working with global teams

Desired Qualifications:

- Prior experience in designing edtech products

- Technical background or related experience, and ability to weigh in on engineering discussions

- Independent, proactive, and able to drive quickly to data-informed decisions

- Familiar with payment and/or Salesforce integrations

- Prior experience designing products for a global market (US, China, India, etc)

- Prior experience in an edtech startup environment.
