SPS Hospitals - Senior Manager/DGM - Maintenance & Biomedical

- To assist and supervise in planning & directing all aspects of Mechanical, Electrical & Civil Engineering activities within an organization.

- To maintain the Hospital facilities as per J.C.I. (Joint Commission International on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, U.S.A.) standards.

- Furnish technical/ technological consultation prior to the purchase of major equipment or building alteration.

- Ensure that all pertinent blue prints, specifications and operating service manuals for all equipment and parts are available.

- Administer and monitor service contracts to ensure work is properly performed and processes claims for payment.

- Order equipment and materials for Division.

- Conducts periodic inspections of buildings, evaluates the complexity of any needed repairs to determine best solution, projects job cost, and oversees the implementation of approved procedures to ensure the ongoing efficient operation of assigned buildings.

- To maintain critical care equipments and O.T. equipments.

- To provide temporary solution by organizing local spares parts of equipment in case of breakdown to minimize breakdown time.

- To ensure 24 hr service back-up.

- To maintain operating and service data of equipments and manuals.

- To impart training to nurses and technicians for daily maintenance of equipment.

- To perform quality analysis of equipment and spares of various suppliers / vendors.

- Verification of Daily maintenance of equipment record & check list.

- To ensure optimal maintenance of equipment of radiology, Dialysis, Physiotherapy, Gynaecology and Laboratory.

- Liaison with other medical professionals such as doctors and therapists as well as with end users(patient and their attendant)

- Dealing with technical queries from end users and giving advice on new equipment.

- To strategize for minimizing down time of biomedical equipment.

- To investigate safety - related incidents of Bio-Medical equipments breakdown, followed by a corrective action.

- To follow the Process Improvement programs and to carry out Quality Initiatives in the department.

- To actively participate in safety committee.

- To perform all other jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.

- Analysis of medical equipment utilization.
