SPORTXS is a 4 year old brand which celebrates one of the oldest human activities - sports. As a retail brand, SPORTXS creates a well organized and pulsating environment that at present showcases over 6000 products across 32 sport categories and 100+ brands. As a brand idea, SPORTXS has created a platform for sport lovers, enthusiasts and professionals alike to come together and share their common passion.

SPORTXS has 12 stores in India across Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Kochi cities. It plans to reach 30 stores in the country by next year. Besides that, SPORTXS is setting up E-Commerce Business to sell the sports gear and equipment online. In this process, SPORTXS is looking for people who are crazy, passionate and mad about sports and interested to work in start-up environments to run the E-Commerce Business.

Designation: E-commerce Business Head

Brief: Responsible for end-to-end management of the E-Commerce. This role is reported to Director level and it is a Key contributor in making decisions and implementation of strategies that fall under company’s goals and objectives to improve E-commerce business. This role is required to have entrepreneurial qualities, ability to build and manage teams to run the e-commerce portal.

This position is responsible for driving and managing the day-to-day sales operations of the company owned e-commerce web sites. This individual has accountability for making decisions on maintaining and improving the overall customer experience for their online category, which will lead to increased conversion rates, sales and customer satisfaction. This individual will be responsible for recommending decisions that will help grow the online channel in revenue per year. This individual is responsible for partnering with internal Web team members, along with IT, Product Development, Marketing, Customer Care, Finance, and Business Operations at the Sr. Manager and sometimes Director level to identify, define, help prioritize, and execute on web enhancements and projects in their area of ownership to ensure a high quality online product and customer experience, and to drive incremental improvement (sales, conversion rates) on the website.

Responsibilities:

1. Traffic management: Responsible for managing the intern/external teams for driving traffic to the ecommerce portal through SEO, Social Media marketing, Google Adwords, Email Marketing, Placing banners on high traffic websites etc,. Strategy implementation by regular study and analysis of traffic through paid and organic sources

2. Improving Conversion Rates: Strategizing and implementing the methods to engage customers on the webstore which involves providing delight to customers through easy, comfortable and overall experience to buy online

3. Webstore Management: Co-ordinating with internal/external teams for technical process involved in maintaining the front and back end of the webstore which involves change of designs, layouts, banners, technical updations and any such dynamic elements pertaining to the webstore

4. Reports & Evaluation: Generation and continuous evaluation of daily, weekly and monthly reports of visits, page views, sales, orders, payments, reviews etc., to optimize the processes at every level. Brainstorming on these reports with top level management for implementation of strategies

5. Customer Relationship Management : Strategy, implementation and monitoring of CRM and Loyalty program teams to enhance customer experience and engagement which involves customer communications, moderation of customer membership accounts, monetization of shopping carts etc.,

6. Back-end Software Management: Co-ordinating with external/internal teams of software developments,
maintenance and modifications of back end software for improving the processes

7. Mobile Webstore / Application: Co-ordinating with external teams for the development of electronic stores on other mediums such as mobile or social media. Strategizing the technical requirements for these mediums and co-ordinating with different teams/departments in-house to implement them successfully.

8. Online Merchandisig : Will work internally/externally with our Offers Strategy, Merchandising, Product Strategy teams, and external vendors to source content, products and other new products/services that enhances the buying experience.

9. Operations/Order Processing: Co-ordinating with internal/external teams that involve in order fulfillment. Strategy and implementation of process that will enhance delivery process to the customer involving defect-free, fast and cost-effective shipping/delivery.

Criteria:

1. Bachelor’s in any discipline and MBA from top tier colleges in India/Abroad

2. Should be highly interested in sports and participation at competitive level is an advantage

3. Should have minimum 4Yrs of working experience, preferably in the technology and management related works or projects. Having experience in E-commerce projects or companies is an addition.

4. Should have strong knowledge on marketing practices, esp. in the digital/online marketing

5. Should have fair knowledge and understanding of financial statements for budgeting

6. Should be highly comfortable and knowledgeable in data and business analytics

7. Should have Good leadership and team skills, ability to build teams.

CTC: Min 14 LPA (over and above negotiable)
