Sportism - Finance Controller

Job overview :

The finance team at the organization owns the financial accounting - reporting process, apart from fund-raising and investor relations. We are looking to onboard a financial controller to own the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting process.

Requirements :

- 4-6 years of relevant experience in the finance function of a venture backed firm, ideally within the technology sector or at a Big 4 accounting firm

- Knowledge and prior working experience in Indian GAAP and IFRS

- Knowledge and prior working experience in direct and indirect taxation activities

- An effective communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal skills

Role and Responsibilities :

- End to end controllership functions - accounting, reporting, monthly closing, taxation, legal compliance, audit closure

- Cash flow, vendor and bank management

- Business Finance/FPA - Budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, dashboard preparation for CFO, CEO and the Board

- Consolidation and MIS reporting: Prepare and circulate monthly information systems to Board / investors - respond to queries

- Develop tax strategies and ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations

- Liaise with the auditors, consultants, and the different functions for smooth operations of the entities in all geographies.

- Automate processes, forecasting and reporting ; enable an integrated view of key financial, operational and risk metrics
