Business Head (CEO Role)

A leading sports organisation is looking for a Business Head (Sports)

Job Description :

- Develop and implement the strategic plan and the operating structure/model in alignment with the corporate vision and strategic direction

- Strategize the commercial growth of the organization and provide leadership to develop and scale up a robust revenue generation model for the business

- Build strategic partnerships with external stakeholders /institutions to enable growth.

- Develop the organization in a manner that its vision, mission, programs, and services are presented in a compelling manner to relevant stakeholders.

- Provide leadership on financial planning, budgeting, monitoring, and control processes; strategize resource allocation and prioritize funding efforts to enable business objectives.

- Drive and steer key executive communication strategies and campaigns for key stakeholders, partners, and sports federation bodies.

- Nurture and sustain a high-performance work culture in the Sports organization and continuously develop its talent and leadership capabilities.

- Spearhead relevant internal/external programs and interventions that foster and reinforce the operating culture and philosophy of the organization

- Provide leadership on decision-making on a multitude of policies, procedures, and functional and corporate matters of the Sports business in the context of the external market, growth opportunities, and regulatory developments. Ensure short and long- term goals and objectives are appropriately financed and supported

- Develop and continuously improve governance mechanisms to report, review and monitor the effectiveness of applicable systems, processes, and ways of working.

- Review and update progress across key organizational priorities and deliverables to identified leadership / operating council as per the agreed cadence.

- Set key priorities for management and functional staff, relevant to the strategic plan and invest managerial resources in the continuous cycle of attracting, developing and retaining top talent Compliance and Risk management

- Guide the team to establish processes to identify and mitigate/eliminate risk, including setting clear accountabilities for the management team members in relation to applicable regulations and legislations.

- Review operational processes to ensure business continuity and effectiveness of risk management measures, that uphold both reputational and fiduciary aspects of the organization.

- Oversee all fiscal activities and guide and direct the team to promptly and effectively deal with any issues in relation to code of conduct, integrity, and ethics, or financial and/or reputational risk.
