Specialist Financial Analyst in a Leading Insurance and Broking Company

Location : Mumbai (Thane)

Designation : Specialist/Sr.Specialist

Job Description

Major Responsibilities:

- Carry out detailed financial analysis of insurance companies with regard to business trends, balance sheet strength, rating agency views etc.

- Create detailed narrative reports for use as business intelligence tool.

- Create detailed peer comparative analysis and industry studies.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Desired Profile:

Each individual will possess the following knowledge and experience:

- Good understanding of financial management and accounting concepts.

- Strong understanding of financial statements and relationships as well as financial ratio analysis.

- Strong analytical skills and numerical abilities.

- Knowledge of accounting standards such as US GAAP, IFRS and IAS will be preferable.

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office is essential, particularly strong Excel skills. Knowledge of MS Access is an added advantage.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Attention to detail is vital to success in this role.

Candidate is required to have a minimum of 4-6 year prior experience in a role relating to financial research/investment research/sector analysis

Prior experience in covering insurance companies/Insurance Sector would be an added advantage.
