As a Procurement Specialist , you will play a pivotal role in managing a diverse range of procurement categories, including IT Hardware, School Supplies, Software, furniture, equipments and vocational supplies. We are looking for a proactive and enterprising individual who possesses exceptional negotiation skills, a knack for vendor discovery, and a passion for innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Category Management: Take ownership of a wide variety of procurement categories, including but not limited to IT Hardware, School Supplies, Software, Furniture, and vocational supplies. Develop and execute strategic procurement plans for each category, wearing multiple hats as needed. - Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers while actively seeking out new, reliable vendors to expand our network. Negotiate favorable terms and conditions to ensure the best value for the organization, and contribute out-of-the-box solutioning ideas. - Innovation and Cost Savings: Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in procurement practices, and actively participate in solutioning discussions. - Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and product developments. Leverage this knowledge to make informed decisions and drive cost-effective procurement strategies, thinking creatively to find solutions. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, such as Pre-Sales, Operations, Finance and IT, to ensure alignment on procurement goals and objectives. Act as a strategic partner in achieving company-wide objectives and offer innovative solutions when needed. - Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure procurement activities adhere to all relevant regulations and internal policies. Mitigate risks associated with procurement by implementing robust contract management and compliance monitoring processes, proactively providing solutioning ideas for risk mitigation. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
