Specialist - Insurance Products - New Business/Underwriting

Our client has undertaken a digital transformation program to support and accelerate the business to be truly client-centric, digitally enabled and data-driven and work in an agile manner as we build solutions for our clients. This role-holder will bring deep long-term insurance knowledge, in particular of products, to our Operations and Solutions Function. 

 The role-holder will support Product Configuration and Calculation team, who owns product management platform in Asia, and will also support our New Business and Underwriting squad to ensure that point of sale processes are seamless and support Straight Through Processing.

Major Accountabilities :

- Advise the team on nature, features, benefits and purpose of products across the Asian markets we operate in.

- Leverage specialist insurance and product knowledge in connecting the range of subject matter expertise that covers prospect and client journeys, product management and new business processing.

- Bring client insight and understanding of product purpose and design into the work of the PX in delivering products- illustrations, future projections as well as variation of calculations / outputs which can be expected from the product and hence needs to be taken into account while setting the product templates / frameworks.

- Work closely with the PX team to identify the regional commonality as well as differences in products across the different Asian geographies so that the efficiencies can be gained during product launches (in system).

- Within the NB&UW squad use product, insurance and client need expertise to support the development and delivery of Straight Through Processing.

- Advise team on the new trends / changes coming in the innovative types of products being launched in the market

Competencies :

- Deep understanding of life insurance products and it's components

- Ability to understand the pricing logic of life insurance products.

- Experience of working in life insurance industry

- Focus on client experience, journey and pain points and ability to provide solutions

- Ability to work with a cross functional team, vendor teams in an agile way

- MBA from a premier institute is an added advantage
