Analytics Specialist
Process description :
- The incumbent will be part of the advanced analytics delivery team supporting leading global Insurance players
- Candidate would be expected to provide business insights through data interpretation, business analysis and statistical modeling to ensure a positive impact on business bottom line and top line
Job Responsibilities :
- Liaise with onshore/offshore stakeholders to define problem statements, design relevant analytical solution and ensure effective implementation
- Project based execution support: Execute Pilots and Proof of Concept's in alignment with the business problems
- Work across different teams to develop an understanding of the domain, portfolio and data quality
- Develop descriptive and predictive models to solve business problems. Review effectiveness of models to determine readiness for business use
- Create and manage the entire project plan & execution and adhere to prescribed TAT's and SLAs
- Ensure deliverables are of high quality and accuracy
- Ability to work large/small teams and mentor junior analysts within the team
- Prepare high impact presentations highlighting project scope, deliverables and benefits
Competency - Skills & Knowledge/ Values and Behaviors :
- 5-8 years Insurance analytics experience with very good exposure to various functions within an Insurance Company
- Experience in project management and client relationship management
- Hands-on with data mining and statistical tools like SAS, SQL, R, Knowledge Seeker, etc.
- Experience in predictive modelling techniques including neural network, ensemble modeling modelling and machine learning techniques in the Insurance domain is essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships and effectively influence all levels of business stakeholders
- Capability to solve complex business and process related problems
