We are seeking a professional to develop and grow sales of new products in the construction sector. APV Spartek is an innovative, growth-oriented company of the Spartek group, which is currently venturing into Ready-mix concrete, Precast products & Prefabricated construction. Some of the products are for the first time to India. We are a company that has experience in the building materials industry, with further growth planned for the future.

You will initially report directly to the Chairman and drive our entire sales effort to help us achieve our big goals for Spartek. We expect the candidate to be able to grow to profit center head by his performance.

If you are a high energy sales leader with a track record of success in the construction industry or related products, this could be the perfect role for you.

Responsibilities

- Oversee, coordinate and lead all sales activities and sales personnel to achieve profit goals of the company

- Develop sales for all potential channels of applications of the products in India and abroad

- Work with Business Development associates & staff, and Operations to prepare monthly quarterly and annual budgets

- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for sales

- Train and evaluate sales personnel to ensure we provide best-in-class customer service

- Grow into the leadership of handling Spartek's most strategic account relationships

- Develop new account relationships with large builders, infrastructure companies, general contractors, and Govt agencies

- Serve as a strategic adviser and support to sales team, helping with roadblocks, closing deals, and satisfactorily handling escalated customer complaints

- Recruit talent when required

Qualifications

- Must be an engineer, preferably civil engineering, and an MBA will be a plus.

- Must have the thorough knowledge of construction an infrastructure industry

- Previous experience in sales and sales management in the construction industry or related fields; preferably 15+ years

- Previous management experience with senior management; preferably 5+ years

- Good general management capability

- Strong, demonstrable profitable sales track record in the past

- Exemplary leadership skills and capable of growing into the top management

- The forward-thinker who embraces and drives changes in the business

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, IT and new technology friendly

- Self-starter; comfortable with directing one's own work

Candidates with experience overseas in related sectors or advanced construction products/processes will have an advantage.
