Department Overview:

Sourcing & Vendor Management (SVM) department sources external goods and services for Credit Suisse by applying supply chain management best practices while mitigating key commercial, contractual and reputational risks to the Bank.

As a valued partner, we strive to work collaboratively with internal business partners and key vendors to deliver increasingly high-quality and efficient sourcing services through: commercial-valued and risk-mitigated sourcing, analytical insights and market expertise, driving vendor innovation, and supporting select third-party agreements during the fulfillment phase.

Role Responsibilities:

- Lead commercial and sourcing activities for Application Software, with specific emphasis on software negotiations

- Develop, negotiate, execute and manage assigned contracts for Software and Maintenance services

- Develop, issue and manage competitive RFP's, in cooperation with key stakeholders

- Evaluate and review existing product and service arrangements and recommend alternative strategies for improved efficiencies and cost savings

- Identify and translate operational requirements into systems management metrics, SLA's and contractual terms and conditions

- Lead cross functional teams (end users, legal, IT demand management, etc.) with regards to assigned supplier negotiations

- Manage multiple sourcing projects concurrently

- Update and maintain book of work for all key initiatives, documenting project status, costs and savings calculations

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with primary stakeholders (IT, Legal, Tax, Demand Mgmt, AP, etc.)

- Manage assigned Supplier Relationships and act as a single point of contact for negotiations and escalations

Qualifications :

- 5+ years of contract management and /or strategic sourcing experience

- Demonstrated understanding of software, hardware and services

- Software Sourcing subject matter experience

- Must have strong contract negotiation and influencing skills: both in-person and in writing

- Strong analytical skills and experience in developing and reviewing technology investment business cases

- Strong communication and presentation skills: ability to communicate to a variety of audiences, including technical teams and management

- Experience or good understanding of electronic sourcing tools (SAP, PeopleSoft, Ariba, etc.)

- Experience working within strong compliance and regulatory culture, driving policies and procedures, both internally and externally. Strong risk and control culture and an understanding of Supplier Screening programs with the ability to evaluate and mitigate any associated potential business risk to CS

- Project management skills a plus

- Excellent analytical skills and experience in developing financial analysis and technology investment business cases

- Must be fluent in English (verbal and writing); Knowledge of German a plus
