S&OP Lead - Transformation Team - Chemicals Manufacturing Firm

About the role:-

- This role is for the transformation office to assist in a Billion-dollar journey.

- The candidate will directly report to the AVP/CTO and is required to work independently on the Sales & Operations Planning workstream to identify & bring in cost impact to the PnL, through strategic interventions as well as through traditional levers.

- Candidate is expected to work with respective business teams, from conceptualizing stage to final implementation stage, using program management approach to bring in the cost savings & operational improvements every year. Person must have strong analytical skills, six sigma black belt is also desired.

Key Responsibilities :-

Program delivery control

- Participate in the development of statistical models to optimize safety stocks without negatively affecting customer service levels

- Review and analyze the forecast demand versus actual demand, understanding changes and trends

- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to ensure that the promotions, visible impact orders, and new product forecasts are included in the aggregate demand

- Notify Scheduling and Manufacturing of significant forecast or capacity changes in a timely basis

- Communicate with Manufacturing about promotions, new products forecasts, and launch timing updates

- Assist in the resolution of key supply-demand/service-cost issues

- Document assumptions, promotions, and adjustments to forecasts using the Sales and Marketing teams' input

- Analyze and upload timely and accurate periods of 18 months forecasts on a monthly basis

- Responsible for demand forecasting, starting from getting forecast-tool output, and collaborating with regional sales.

- To improve forecasting process efficacy

- To review the algorithm for each of the rate area-SKUs

- To identify and refine parameter values for finalized algorithm

- To manage statistical forecast exceptions on a weekly basis, by collaborating with cross-functional teams

- To challenge the received forecast, make required adjustments in the bottom-up forecast via discussion

- To drive consensus forecast by a collaborative process with Sales, Marketing functions

- To drive initiatives to improve forecast accuracy

- To work with cross-functional teams and manage statistical forecast exceptions on a weekly basis

- To drive regional engagement in market intelligence and integrate into strategies for long-term and short-term demand plans

- To Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
