POSITION TITLE : Manager - Finance NAME
LOCATION : Mumbai
POSITION PURPOSE :
- Responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for content acquisition by all channels of the network.
- It also includes accounting, budgeting, forecasting marketing activities undertaken by all channels.
- Handling accounting for Capex
- Handling GST reconciliations & other GST compliances
- Assist in implementations of S4HANA, Ariba, CLM & other relevant modules of SAP and similar automation projects in future
- Monitoring of accounting for Studio Next projects
- Focus on data analytics
- Find improvement opportunities for efficiency, control and monitoring mechanisms
- Interface with Business and other stakeholders to drive the Finance agenda while balancing and appreciating the business requirements
Key Role
- The incumbent plays a critical role in the P2P & R2R processes mentioned above.
Education:Qualified CA
Experience 5 to 8 years of experience
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
1. Accounting, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual & quarterly forecasts for content amort, marketing, depreciation, Studio Next costs
- Reconciliation of actuals to forecasts & budgets on a monthly basis for P&L
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual Cashflow
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual forecasts for content, marketing, depreciation, Studio Next costs & revenues
- Accounting for content, marketing, depreciation, Studio Next costs
- Review forecast of funds prepared by team members basis inputs. Track actual cashflow against forecasts as per desired timelines
- Provide monthly projections for Programming & Marketing
- Accuracy
- Timeliness
2. Accounts Payable profile:
- Post entries parked by team members in respect of Programming, Capex, Films, Sports, Digital, Music after due validations.
- Approve payments processed by the team members & coordinate with Banks in case of issues, especially for International payments.
- Review vendor aging & reconciliations
- Sports: Monitor agreements, cost statements, etc.; Ensure timely payment of license fees and receipt of relevant tax-related documents. - Accounting accuracy
- Adherence to internal TAT
3. Capex:
- Proper classification of expenses into Opex & Capex,
- Accounting of all CAPEX acquisitions projects tracking, monitoring CWIP, asset numbering review, annual physical verification.
- Accounting accuracy
- Adherence to internal TAT
4. Studio Next:
- Review the projects & prepare the management report for revenues, costs & margin
- Review Cost to completion
- Review the auditor reports during the shoot
- Escalate overruns
- Review the daily cost sheets to ensure accurate reporting - Accurate reporting & monitoring
5. Monthly Closing:
- Review accounting of all content & amortization
- Review accruals for monthly closing - Accounting accuracy
6. Auditing:
- Handle Internal audit, SOX, Corporate, IFC audit queries
- Tracking & implementation of the actionable emanating from the audit reports - Error-free and quality audit reports
7. GST:
- Ensure that all compliances from a GST perspective are done for AP.
- Monthly GST reconciliation & monitoring - Accurate reporting & compliances
8. Implementation of various IT projects:
- Understanding of the As-Is process & the To Be
- Involvement in the Blueprinting of the projects
- Coordinate for integrations across various impacted systems
- Scenario building
- Testing
- Overseeing migration activities
- Go Live related activities
- Handling activities in the interim in case of deferred go-live of various projects
- Continuous reviews & implementation of improvements - Timely transition

9. Data analytics:
- Data analytics for improved business mis

10. Process improvement:
- Constant review of processes to improve efficiency, controls & support Business - Efficiency achieved
11. Managing team performance - Track team performance at an overall and individual level and provide support/ guidance wherever required to ensure achievement of yearly plans
- Manage effective resource allocation across different teams, enhance the capability quotient of team members and drive higher team engagement through appropriate HR interventions - Team engagement score
