Solutions Manager : IT Infrastructure: ITSM
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Comfortable with Service Management domain, products and vendors.
- Demonstrates Leadership and takes complete solution ownership for his domain for the RFP response
- Provide a populated cost model for functional group (including hardware, software, technical and operational support).
- Provide the technical solution for their Service Centers/functional area as part of a bid or proposal. This will be discharged in concert with the other Lines of Service and functional groups (e.g. Finance, HR, Procurement etc.)
- Provide support to the functional group personnel working on bids and/or proposals.
- Assist in the development of functional group processes, activities and products that support bid activity.
- Apply commercial interpretation to the technical solution to create a proposal that is sales-oriented.
- Assist with the transformation requirements to the point of demonstratin ability to change the current state of operation to a more appropriate and standard environment.
- Understand the Functional Area and know how to apply standards.
- Coach/Mentor the "temporary" Domain Experts called in from the Functional Area.
- Perform internal presentations (primarily to the Domain Manager/Solution Manager) relating to their technical solution contributions.
- Act as a Technical Consultant during the contract negotiation.
- Provide input into the Statement of Work.
- Understand the relationship between Cost and SLA/SOW/Due Diligence, and communicate this to NBS.
- Have a decent level IT Infrastructure standards knowledge to help understand the current environment/RFI.
- Well versed with Microsoft office

Architectural knowledge in
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and their deployment across the organisation
- Understanding of tools and their integration required to deploy ITIL aligned service model across the organisation
- Create service model framework in line with RFP requirements
- Ability to define, articulate, estimate and cost the complete Service management solution covering People, Processes and tools
- Strong solutioning aptitude and analytical bent of mind particularly in the Service management space.
Awareness on the following
- Network & Security domain
- Compute domain
- End User domain
- Should have awareness of IT trends/ Industry players.
- Understanding of project management.
- Good Presentation/Communication and Writing skills.
- Should be able to understand the client’s business and technical requirements and translate them to the technology solution.
- Should have clear perspective and approach for meeting business objectives with the use of technology solutions.
