MS Azure forms the backbone of all cloud systems that the firm works on & relies-upon to make available, the mentioned on-demand solutions to its clientele globally, besides its own needs of having virtual disaster recovery systems and technology infrastructure to back-up its day-to-day operations and the needs of the in-house end-users (employees) at the firm. Besides, Azure is the flagship solution that the firm takes to clients while pitching for engagements for its infrastructure business. Thus, this job is about a technically strong IT Infrastructure professional who has been leading pitches for new business development (including pre-sales solutioning), system architecture & roadmap and delivery for engagements involving cloud based systems, for the recent 3 - 5 years at work, with a specialization in Azure. In specific, an ideal candidate will be able to: - Construct bespoke Azure cloud solutions to specific needs of customers and demonstrate viability of such solutions from a cost, benefits and ease (of use) perspectives - Play an evangelist to customers on decisions related to cloud systems by demonstrating the available options and the impact that each one of them will have on the business - Lead as the architect and design the roadmap for the engagement, review & redo the design for delivery of software applications to cloud (Lift and Shift), zero-in on the most suitable technical route, formulate system designs, advocate and lead the implementation of the most suitable architectures - Guide on all necessary administration & monitoring post the cloud migration - Ensure that the architecture design takes good care of performance, data integrity, high-availability and scalability related aspects of the to-be system - Lead & ensure extensive and comprehensive documentation of all aspects involved in the engagement, including the customer's business problem that the transformation/initiative is meant to address - Oversee directly (if required) and through a team, cloud solutions with comprehensive security and compliance related controls, including the sovereignty of data, governance and daily administration - Identify new business opportunities while creating Azure based solutions, for other BUs at the firm - Lead, in a sustained way, aspects like availability, scale, reliability and performance NECESSARY EXPERIENCE: - Latest experience of close to 5 years on cloud/Azure, initially as a hands-on technical/development manager, and subsequently, as an architect - Strong at IaaS, SaaS and PaaS solutions/engagements - Strong at cloud migration for enterprise applications - Well-versed with Azure Resource Manager, Azure SQL, and Azure Automation - Well-versed with patterns of cloud design - RDBMS DBs and concept/implementation of No-SQL DBs - Well-versed with best IT operations practices for an always-on/always-available service model - Experience in Azure network, VPN and express route, Azure DNS, Load Balancers and Traffic Manager - Good at Azure Worker Role, App Services, Web Jobs, Scheduler, Service Bus, IDAM, Logic Apps, Event Hub, Stream Analytics and Power BI - Collaborative with other developers & users and clarify questions related to SaaS, Multi-Tenancy, Microsoft Azure Platform and.Net - Experience in design and implementation of large scale, global, complex custom application development systems - Well exposed to problem-solving for issues on globally distributed systems and critical product service environments - Can see through infrastructure, databases and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership - Well understands the Agile methodology and has worked on a Scrum team - Exposure to implementations of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools involving DevOps - Experienced in DevOps/release management tools - Experience in Azure Storage and Backup - Experienced in Web Development using C#, .Net, MVC.Net 4.0/5.0+,, OCR tools, WPF, JQuery, AngularJS and bootstrap
