Solutions Engineer - Big Data - Insurance

Desired :

- Hands on experience with map/reduce based solution like Hadoop, Hive etc.

- Hands on experience with statistical computing languages such as R, Matlab, Mathematica, SAS, SPSS.

- Knowledge of NoSQL databases.

- Knowledge of search engines like Solr and Elastic Search.

- Knowledge/experience in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry.

- Fluency with one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, Scala.

Essentials :

- Master Study or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

- 5+ years of experience in software development in Java in an enterprise environment.

- 2+ years of experience in managing a small sized project team (- 2 developers)

- Proficiency in relational databases/SQL

- Knowledge/experience or willingness to learn IBM Watson portfolio with particular focus on Watson Explorer, Watson Content Analytics and Bluemix platforms

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Strong analytical & conceptual skills to understand complex technology stacks and their dependencies.

- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
