Job Description - Excellent opportunity to work with an established MNC providing technology solutions with real-time information and communication in the space of public safety. You would be responsible for the design of end-to-end Mission Critical Command and Control Centres. The aim is to ensure that the design fulfils criteria like meeting user requirements, fast response time, highly reliable system, optimum system performance, highly secure system, etc.

Description

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Creating high-quality solution designs to address all architectural concerns including business, information, application and infrastructure

- Design of overall application ecosystem including technology, system and applications software.

- Working closely with the Project Manager and Application Managers to design the entire core system

- Align design standards, development standards, technology usage and implementation across the team.

- Providing necessary support to implementation and development team upon award of contract.

- The integration and implementation with 3rd party products and/or COTS (commercial off-the-shelf)

- Participate in decision making process around technology strategy, conduct analysis on technical viability of solutions and provide guidance on delivery of complex projects.

- Conduct research around best practices and/or new concepts and to adequately extend this engagement to 3rd party platforms and tools

- Familiarity with core Command and Control sub-systems like Telephony Systems, Logging Systems, Computer Aided Dispatch System, Automatic Vehicle/Personnel Location System, Wireless Messaging System, Enterprise Service Bus, IP Networking, WAN Metro Ethernet, Wireless networks, Geographical Information System (GIS) mappings, etc.

Profile

- B.Tech./B.E., M.Tech./MCA in Computer engineering/Science or a related discipline

- 8-12 years of relevant experience

- Extensive knowledge of IP technology, IP networking (WAN). CCNA is preferred.

- Ability to apply design concepts - layered architectures, components, interfaces, messaging and patterns.

- Familiarity with Software Change/Configuration Management and Build Processes in a complex environment.

- Experienced with REST API, JSON, JSP/JSF, XML & related technologies as well as UML notation tools.

- Familiar with web services, HTML5, HTTP, SOA, etc., and web application & database design considerations

- Familiar with security systems e.g. VPN, IPSec, digital certificate, RSA, SHA, etc.

- Proven Experience of working on design and integration of end to end Integrated Control Solution for police
requirements (Dial 100, Dial 112, 911, etc.) including Telephony System, Logging System, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) based CRM, GIS based location tracking, MDT based Mobile Application development/deployment etc.
