Skill sets required
- Strong experience as a technical sales engineer or equivalent experience in a customer facing role.
- Preferred Solution Architect.
- Possesses knowledge of relevant Payments solutions and market landscape
- Possesses knowledge of industries payments applications are typically used in, i.e., Payments, Fintech, BFSI, etc.
- Possesses a good understanding of technologies underlying Payments products
- Requires excellent presentation, writing, organizational and project management skills
- Works well in an independent as well as team environment
- Familiar with competitors and their products
- Demonstrated ability to interact with and provide appropriate communications to senior management
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the customer-facing advocate for the organization. Need to have a deep understanding of the entire product suite and be able to identify industry fits use-cases across products.
- Plays an integral role in the sales process utilizing knowledge of products and their capabilities to assist sales executives in addressing client/prospect requirements.
- Develops appropriate product solutions to meet client/prospect business requirements.
- Provides support for creation and packaging of proposals.
- Enable the Sales team, across all channels, in identifying the appropriate client-product fits.
- Liaison with Product (PMs and PMMs) to understand any key product features (in-process / on the roadmap) and help identify customer use-cases across various verticals.
- Act as a key feedback channel for customer's product requirements / expectations and will close the loop with the Product team on the same.
- In case of product customization requests from the clients, the Product Consultant will help validate the requirements via creation of business cases.
- Provides input to appropriate sections of requests for proposal (RFPs) and requests for information (RFI).
- Sets up and delivers product presentations/demonstrations to clients/prospects either in person or via web-based tools.
- Drives process to obtain client/prospect requirements, identifies functionality gaps with sales representatives and clients/prospects, initiates to address functionality gaps or define appropriate workarounds.
- Participates in business requirements review with clients/prospects.
- Interacts with vendors and other organizations where appropriate to evaluate third-party vendor solutions.
- Develops and presents proposals
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
