Solution Architect/Lead - Travel & Logistics

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

- This role generally entails activities and responsibilities in the capacity of a Solution architect and solution and domain experts (SME) for SAP Global Delivery. The expertise can span across SAP core solutions, industries and technical know-how.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

- The expectations for the role spans across the following 4 areas:

Bid Management

- End-to-end responsibility of ‘solutioning’ in identified strategic bids

- Responsible for presenting ‘solutioning’ approach proposed to customers / MUs

- Hand-over of the bids to the delivery teams

Delivery

- Advisory roles during the BBP phases (Provide ‘Expert’ Services as defined in ADM model)

- QA / SME roles through audits in critical projects (part-time only)

- Support critical escalations in projects or strategic GD engagements

Competency development

- Plan & execute focused skill building (competency lead roles) in practices

- Design & oversee development of re-usable objects / consulting packages

Global Alignment

- Represent SAP Global Delivery in global communities as experts

- Participate regularly in relevant global communities to actively position and build pipelines for GD

In line with the categories of tasks above, the role carries the following KPIs

Bid Management

- Success ratio of the bids contributed to

- Contribution to contracted days – with specific feedback from Bid Managers / Bid Solution Center

Delivery Management

- Target Delivery days

- Qualitative feedback on the project supported / escalations handled

Competency Development & Global Alignment

- Qualitative feedback on the competency development plans setup and execution of the same

- Contribution to packages / services development

- Alignment with global units in terms of contribution to multiplying global packages delivery capabilities, participating road shows

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

- Should have worked in Airline SAP implementation at least 2 end to end projects in addition to 5-6 projects in Financials solution area

WORK EXPERIENCE

- Should have 10 to 14 years of total experience which includes 3-5 years of Airline industry domain experience coupled with SAP strong expertise in FICO core modules

- Should have played a project lead role multiple times

- Should have a comprehensive understanding and hands on experience on COPA, New GL,

Banking interface and cash management functionalities

- Should have led project teams and comfortable with leading cross cultural teams

- Confident communicator with clear articulation and ability to manage customer situations professionally

- Should be able to drive the SAP solution value and consulting propositions with CxO’s independently

- Should have worked internationally and comfortable with travel

- CA couple with MBA background would be a big plus
