Solution Architect - IoT

Position Summary:

Pentair is currently seeking Lead IoT Architect to drive the unified IoT architecture in the Smart Products & IoT Strategic Innovation Centre in India team. This role is responsible for defining the IoT technical architecture, security, data and deployment model. This role will be driving the POCs (proof of concepts) as well as the technical architecture for large rollout from the devices up through cloud architecture and integration with enterprise applications, in collaboration with technology teams in Pentair's strategic business units (SBUs). This role reports to the GEC-India IoT Head. This individual must be well-versed in the latest technologies in IoT & Digital space including AI, AR/VR and be capable of applying them to develop innovative solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop the unified IoT architecture for Smart Products

- Drive POCs (proof of concepts)

- Responsibility of defining the architecture, security, data and deployment model

- Technical responsibility of taking the implementation from POC to large rollout

- Hands-on experience to mentor team members

- Publish White Papers and blogs

- Provide technical leadership and collaborate with SBU technology team leaders to address the complete Smart products and IoT solutions technology stack:

Hardware/Device Layer

Device Firmware Development

Connectivity Layer

Cloud Server Side Architecture

Data Collection

Data Analytics

Web and Mobile App Development

Integration with Enterprise systems

Security

- Demonstrate sound technical judgment and play a critical role as the main technical authority on all IoT technical implementation and support the development of the long-term company-wide IoT strategy.

- Present technical topics, IoT trends etc to team & management

- Support the SBU technology teams with testing, validation, sustaining, value engineering, and Dev-ops required for these Smart Products & IoT solutions.

- Responsible for evaluating competitive products, developing differentiated offerings, and generating Intellectual Property (IP) benefiting the company.

Qualifications and Experience:

- 13+ years of experience in technical architecture including 3+ years of experience in the Smart Products & IoT area.

- Have done solution design for large IoT implementations

- Have expertise on various IoT application enablement platforms, device management

- 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics & Big Data-Preferred

- Deep technical knowledge in one or more areas: IoT Platforms, Telematics, embedded hardware and software, connectivity, cloud architecture, visualization tools & techniques, data analytics, and other IoT technical areas.

- Experience in designing the HA Architecture and DC-DR setup.

- In depth knowledge and experience of Amazon Web Service Infrastructure and Platform as a Service tools is preferred.

- Experience in agile development, stage gate process, minimum viable product development, and DevOps.
