Roles and Responsibilities : - A thorough assessment of existing software system globally. - Meet and discuss current operations capabilities with respective operations heads in various countries. - Discuss current loop-holes and desired outcomes in comparison to the current software. - A thorough study on the best-in-class software/ systems and functionalities provided by competitors. - Collect data on all of the above within a span of approximately 6 months. - Have a focused idea/ design on the system requirement and the seamless integration of the systems. - Hire an in-house team of developers to develop the software/s and their integration with internal/ external supporting software tools. - Ensure desired outcome in line with the strategy and system design. - Pilot test of the system, followed by global implementation of the software and integration. - Once implemented, possibly form a separate entity (a software company). - Provide similar software solutions to various forwarding/ logistics companies followed by other industries. - Set up and lead a team of developers, solutions architects, business development, sales and other support functions. The Ideal candidate: - 8-10 + years of experience in the role of a Sr. solutions Architect who has led assignments in setting up similar software solutions, ideally for the freight forwarding and logistics industries. - A thorough understanding of best in class software solutions from a global stand-point. - Has interacted with senior business leaders from various countries. - Successfully hired and led successful teams. - A proven track record in setting up large software systems and implementations. - A strategic individual with an emotional quotient and ability to execute and manage projects of this magnitude. - The ability to head up an organisation and form a team to market new software solutions to various industries .
