Solution Architect Finance for Mumbai Location

Job Purpose:

- Assist in demand management during the ideation phase and early stages of IM projects.

- Provide solutions aligning with the existing technical and functional architecture to ensure compliance with strategy, policy, guidelines, budget, and operational supportability.

- Maintain quality and consistency in functional template design for deployments.

- Stay updated on emerging technologies within the SAP ecosystem.

- Establish and nurture strong relationships with functional, commercial, and plant controllers globally, serving as a trusted advisor for business processes within the expertise area.

- Lead or participate in projects covering the SAP FICO domain, including integration with other SAP modules and applications.

Key Accountabilities:

- Support demand management in drafting project charters and translating them into detailed requirements following the IPM project methodology.

- Translate business requirements into feasible solutions and communicate the roadmap for relevant applications.

- Review impact assessments and solution directions for change requests.

- Keep IM documentation and CMDB up-to-date for the business processes and applications in scope.

- Ensure quality and consistency in template design for deployments, including design checks and builds.

- Support testing and training activities for change requests and projects.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Activities:

- Lead or participate in IM projects in various roles such as project manager, lead solution architect, finance project consultant, or QA role.

- Support IM Services FAM team in handling My IT tickets in line with the IM Operating Model.

- Assist Finance business leads and other stakeholders regarding IT-related topics.

Experiences:

- Background in SAP Consulting or Finance business roles (e.g., financial controller).

- Approximately 7-10 years of experience in the IT sector, including at least 5 years in the SAP Controlling domain.

Education:

Master's degree in business management, computer science, or a related field of study.

- Strong analytical skills across multiple technical domains to identify opportunities and solutions.

- Problem-solving abilities using knowledge, experience, and analysis of available information.

- Neutral approach towards technology, vendors, and product choices, prioritizing results.

- Broad knowledge and experience of architecture, technology platforms, and business domains with relevant experience in SAP Controlling (Expertise area: Product Costing, COPA, CCA/PCA, Project Systems).

- Hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation projects and programs.

- Knowledge of and experience in financial planning processes is advantageous.

- Preferably also has knowledge of areas integrating into procurement, sales, production, and management reporting.

- Preferably knowledgeable in SAP Analytics Cloud, PowerBI, and/or other management reporting tools.

Context Specific:

Position in the Organization:

The solution architect Finance will be part of the Finance domain, reporting to the Functional Information Manager within the IM Projects department, collaborating closely with solution architects in IM Projects and application managers in IM Services.

Level of Autonomy:

Co-responsible for solution architecture activities in the Finance domain, particularly in Management Accounting.

Area of Expertise:

Management Accounting, focusing on SAP FICO, ECC6.0/S4HANA, integration with MM and SD modules, and financial planning solutions.
