Profile:

RFP/RFI; Managed Services (Data Center); Client facing; Presentation; Working with Sales team; International exposure.

Position Summary

- Own Overall Solution Design Lifecycle (solution design, effort estimation, solution articulation, transformation, development of business case and presentation)

- People Management, as applicable

Key Result Areas

- Leverage transformation and best in class frameworks in developing the solution approach to meet the customer business objectives

- Ensure delivery model, pricing model and resource estimation, risk register and key assumptions are in line with customer requirements

- Leverage Cognizant Capabilities, IP and Alliances as appropriate in the overall Solution Model

- Utilize industry benchmarks to provide best in class solution.

- Articulate and defend solution components in internal and external forums (including client presentations)

- Contribute to Practice initiatives – knowledge repository, defining/ streamlining processes, recruitment, service catalog design etc.

- Evangelize and build Technical competencies in one or more service / technology domains (Datacenter, EUC, Network etc)

- Lead Due Diligence, Participate in ISPA engagements as applicable.

- Play the secondary Solution Architect role for global ITO and strategic bids

Typical Responsibilities

- Business / Customer Perspective

- Work with client, business development team, and delivery team to understand client requirements

- Participate and lead due diligence exercises (where applicable) with clients

- Drive and Own Solution discussions with Internal Stakeholders (ITIS, Vertical and other BUs). This includes: Solution Workshops, Solution Reviews Calls, Deal Review Calls and participate in Deliverability Assessment Calls.

- Deliver solution Presentation to Customers. This includes: Clarification Workshops, Solution Workshops and Solution Presentations

- Drive / Participate in Solution discussions with Partners (where applicable).This includes: Capability, Technical Solution and Pricing

- Coordinate with other BU’s to provide an integrated solution

- Collaborate with Business Analysts in response development

- Support product management and marketing teams in developing productized solutions offerings and collateral (where applicable)

- Perform overall quality check on the client deliverables

- As a PoC for a P&L Unit: Work with VSL/ VPOC for account penetration strategies by driving solution identification and development of selling strategies: support target achievement and develop sales strategy for various offerings.

- As a PoC for Services / Technology: Anchor bids specific to the service areas

Project / Process Perspective

- Adhere to the defined BD Processes

- Discuss and provide inputs for win themes and SWOT, Win Loss Analysis

- Contribute to key initiatives in the practice.

People / Team Perspective

- Conduct Knowledge Sharing Sessions on learning’s from solutions proposed to Business Development and Delivery teams

- Attend relevant training programs and update self/ business team on emerging trends in domain/technology/sourcing

- People Management, as applicable

Degree of Independence/Supervision required

- Independently work on opportunities involving multiple SBUs/Verticals

- Work under the guidance of Sr. Solutions Architect / Principal Solution Architect for complex engagements

Qualification:

- Minimum Work Experience required: 8+ years

- Strong technical skills in infrastructure services areas

- Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

- Excellent Presentation skills

- Prior experience in global outsourcing opportunities.
