Job Description:

- This role involves working closely with the AVP Operations along with Functional Directors/Heads to achieve strategic objectives of the company.

- The incumbent will be required to multi-task, support in conceiving and implementing new processes, create, update and follow up on business and strategic projects with attention to detail.

- It will also involve working under stringent deadlines, and aggregating and interpreting data.

Responsibilities:

End-to-End Procurement: Overseeing the entire procurement process, from sourcing to contracting

Supplier Management : Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, fostering strong and collaborative partnerships to guarantee a consistent supply of high-quality materials.

Budget Management : Develop and manage the procurement budget, tracking expenses, and providing regular reports to management.

Risk Mitigation: Handling insurance-related aspects

Strategic Sourcing : Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and equipment required for solar energy projects.

Cost Optimization : Continuously evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining product quality and reliability.

Inventory Management : Implement effective inventory management practices to minimize excess or obsolete materials and ensure optimal stock levels.

Compliance : Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including sustainability and environmental requirements.

Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Market Analysis : Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to make informed procurement decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.

Requirements

- Engineering Graduate (Electrical and Mechanical) and MBA (in Operations Management preferred)

- 6-8 years leading Procurement in the (Real estate/EPC/Engineering Goods industry)

- Proficient with MS Office Suite including strong Excel skills

- Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision

- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

- Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
