Sokrati - Content Specialist - Technology Storyteller

We are looking for a storyteller who can take complex concepts in the field of digital marketing in ecommerce and retail industries, and turn them into assets that captivates audiences and makes them keep coming back for more. This is a critical position and would contribute to several key functions such as demand generation, inbound marketing and branding and PR.

The ideal individual for this role would be a results-driven, self-starter with a restless and creative mind and detest being idle. We expect this individual to come up with creative ideas that set the tone and voice of the brand.

While we appreciate and respect a variety of writing styles, we are not looking for writers with a lot of abstract and philosophical writing, fluff writing with little focus on the topic and flow.

This role would report to the head of marketing and is based out of Pune, Maharashtra.

Responsibilities

- Conceive, write and deliver targeted, SEO friendly and actionable content across multiple media such as online, social, email, mobile and print for specific personas in the retail and eCommerce space

- Storytelling with the ability to synthesize complex technical information into assets that drive high response rates, are engaging and makes the audience come back for more

- Contribute and execute content strategies that aid in demand generation, build top of the mind recall, increase conversions and build increasing relevancy

- Track topics that are trending across focus industries and develop content that leverages events in the external world to generate awareness and movement in the sales funnel

- Track and measure content effectiveness and course-correct appropriately

- A/B test content formats and channels to maximize effectiveness

- Contribute ideas that can drive the effectiveness of content marketing

- Collaborate with other specialists in the team to improve the effectiveness of content

Who would fit the role aptly

- The content specialist would be passionate about writing with 3-5 years of experience writing in the tech and/or retail industries

- Predominantly writing experience in enterprise and B2B segments

- The right person for this role would think like a journalist and write content with hooks and angles that drive action

- Ability to write content, copy and messaging in variety of styles, voices and tones, adaptable to different target audiences, product categories and branding initiatives

- Working knowledge of industry standard style guides including but not limited to AP style

- A keen eye for tools in the market that add value in terms of reducing cycle time and cost
