Responsibilities And Roles :

The SPS Consultant is responsible for business process re engineering (facilitating process innovation, analysis, and participating in process mapping and improvement projects).

The SPS Consultant will leverage system capabilities, partner with customers and key stakeholders. Work closely with all stakeholders to analyze, present alternatives, and make recommendations on operational improvement opportunities to the customer.

- Map of End to End Business processes to drive alignment, communications and decision making.

- Generate process flow maps in Visio from data provided by project teams.

- Participate in client discussion to set engagement objectives and scope; develop work plans for components of engagements, coordinate activities between work streams and identify changes in scope.

- Design deliverable content as needed to precisely reflect the engagement contract and client needs to strive to improve deliverable quality through verification and validation of results.

- Drive client engagements for establishment of the Procurement Process Owners / Managers as part of the governance process of the Business Process Improvement effort.

- Develop Process Improvement standards to ensure consistent approach to Process Improvement between and among teams.

- Establish strong working relationships with all leaders and teams to drive business process improvements.

- Assess the current state of process performance, make recommendations for changes and improvements, if needed, and lead improvement efforts using Lean/6Sigma work analysis tools across a broad spectrum of programs.

- Strategically analyze the client procurement process and implications of decisions at different levels. Prepare recommendations for restructuring the methods used to procure or source certain products or services.

- Recommend changes inclient organizational structures, roles and processes by suggesting changes in the structure of reporting relationships, developing improved processes and procedures, and/or instituting a rigorous target-setting and performance-monitoring systems

- Work with the client to realize immediate savings by building and executing sourcing a strategy for each major spending category

- Rationalize operational assets and networks to optimize levels of effectiveness and efficiencies.

- Facilitate end to end business process development/improvement sessions to align practices, eliminate inefficiency, and enhance accountability

- Help clients manage Process Improvement communications throughout the organization and presenting metric reports to clients- management as required.

- Initiates changes to operational procedures, where applicable, ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements and corporate guidelines.

- Operate with high professionalism; successfully prioritize workload in accordance with business goals.

- Provide process improvement support to process owners and assist them in writing processes/procedures.

- Recognize barriers to business process improvement efforts and work to remove them.

- Coordinate efforts to identify and evaluate opportunities for improvement that transcend site boundaries, integrate Business.

- Analyze complex quality and performance issues while developing appropriate recommendations.

- Facilitate process implementation, benchmarking, and developing reporting solutions to convey actual performance.

- Collaborate with clients to prioritize improvement ideas to be executed as project.

- Develop intranet presence and maintain electronic database of work flows and procedures.

- Serving as a general consultant who can aptly solve diverse problems by relying on a strategic and analytic skill set and an ability to gather and interpret a fact-base in new areas.

- Contributing to team-building efforts Brainstorming with fellow team members

- Mentoring less-experienced staff and driving internal capability development

Education :

- Science, Engineering, or Business BS / BA required. MBA will be preferred.

- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification highly recommended

Tools Required : Must have experience on tools like SAP, ARIBA etc

Experience :

- 10 years of experience in different roles in Procurement process with a minimum of 3 years of Operational Excellence/business process improvement experience required

- Knowledge and previous work experience with Business Process development methodologies with a specific focus in value stream mapping and Lean.

- Clear examples of where improvement methodologies were used to make significant business process improvement at the operations level.

- Knowledge of work analysis and performance measurement tools.

- Good facilitation, change management, interpersonal and problem solving skills required.

- Familiarity with process mapping and Visio or other process mapping tools

- The employee is passionate, enthusiastic, resourceful, and results oriented and has a sense of urgency.
